haha... brickyard halfpipe and drops, bethpage park, northport town or huntington... can't tell, and the huck in Makamah... lol. I started riding on all those trails too... lol
I have the mid-top Nightwolfs. I got the brown/black with gumsole ... I think they are plenty sticky. Any more, and i'd be on 5.10's.
Seriously, w/my new pedals, adjusting to the amount of grip and the stiffness of the sole is going to take some getting used to.
i run a 58... 29 tooth tree sprocket w/a 13 tooth cog and 26s. I like it for everything except going uphill... lol. In the skatepark when i'm at speed, I still have some pedal resistance if I want to pedal... It works good for me.
your own wooden spine would probably be the way to go... probably about $50-$100 depending on size. Then you can put it wherever you want. and not worry about it getting torn down.
I have a 22.5 mob with 175 cranks... and i'm about 6' w/size 12 shoes. I can x-up w/out problems... I've only tried barspins into foam, but foot clearance is not an issue.
The size feels great for a bigger person.
i don't know if you will be able to get in on this... but these people seem to have something really good going on up there. Apparently they are not too keen on outsiders until the park is finished and can be a bike-park type of location.
If you managed to weasel your way into work days...
the bottlerocket w/ dhx5 air is good. I would insist on upgrading to a lower volume air sleeve, but once done, the bike handles great. It's been to diablo a few times already this year.
crap... that was you throwing up. I saw you from the chairlift when you were puking near alpine. I figured you just partied to hard the night before and were hung over.
hope you feel better
2007 Manitou Travis 150 isn't a bad fork for a freeride application. For 2007 they fixed the dampening issues of the 2006. The fork is a beast, weighing in @ 6.5 lbs, but it won't break like the Stances do.
I have a 2006 on my Bottlerocket w/the updated innards. It works and I don't feel I...
Yeah... different takes... lol. The riot/mob is more cramped than a p-bike, but that's what allows you to pop lips/jumps higher and flick it around easier. It comfortably fits a 2.4 tire (i've never tried anything bigger) but it definitely will not take a longer travel fork. The most...
