    I'd say a dish tool is not absolutely necessary, especially not with a nice brandy spankin new, nicely centered truing stand. But as your stand gets worked over a bit it will slip out of center. I'd worry more about the tension gauge and spoke prep!! Proper tension is key! Do yourself a favor...

    yeah dude, take it to a shop and let them remove and re-seat those cups to be safe. you really don't want to develop any play in your front end. then you really will kill your frame.

    if you are building wheels the park TS2 is the way to go. To do it right you probably want some spoke prep, a tensiometer (TM1 is quick and easy) and dish tool. Oh, and my personal vice is a good nipple driver.

    hey I'm not saying we are winning or losing here, I'm just wondering who has been over and formulated their own views based on things seen with their own eyes. I'm sure the media gets paid to tell the whole 100% accurate truth all of the time. I mean, why wouldn't they, right?
