I run a Camelback Origon 8 (I'll hafta shoot pics later),it's carnivorous,I can rarely tell it's there,and hold all the (way-too-much) crap I carry when I ride.
I rarely use the bladder tho...mostly H2O bottles,unless I'm going on a 3-4 + hour ride,then I use both.:D
Been running a 22/32 front and 11-34T rear 2x9 with basher all year, pretty happy with it on my technical/hilly trails (where afterburners aren't much use). See above for the limit screw on the front mech. It's also nice if you run a 2 spd front mech (like mine),less hassle with setup, and no...
My two (the Monocog is currently in s state of limbo/metamophisis...ie:torn apart at the moment)...
2008 Redline d440 (sweet 29er goodness)
2002 Redline Monocog (now back with the rigid fork)
Yeah,I know...this is the XC forum, these are a SS and a 29er...but they are my XC rides :weee:
Pics taken a few months back, but other than dust while she sat abandoned in the bike room for 2 months while I healed from a ride related injury, and some fresher dirt, still as she sat here.
Only stock bits are frame,bars/stem/HS,and seat/post/collar-everything else higher end upgrades. :D
Hey Mike! :)
Man I'm SOOOOOOO sorry it took me so long to respond,Bro...I haven't been on bike forumsd much since July-August or so (Torn hip muscle, couldn't ride, coulldn't bare going on the sites for a while),so I actually just got this. I hope yer still around,my friend, and weren't offended...
I'm using my ole Monocog mostly on road here lately, but when I was running it on our hilly technical trails,I ran a 32x20,then later as I got softer (or hit steeper trailage) I ran a 32x22. Worked well in the steeps, spun out too fast everywhere else. :monkey:
