    Late season So. Colorado trip.

Despite rampant reports of the best early season conditions in years, I continued to ignore the boards this weekend and took off for a mini-road trip centered on Mountain Biking. The destination was Durango, with riding to be done at points between and beyond. Summer seems like the time to do...

    Western Slope Weekend

That first snow we got sent me packing westward. 3 trails, two days, not a bad stab. Loveland had lifts running when we drove by, but it is prime time for GJ, Fruita, Moab and...other places. We must not be distracted by early season avalanche makers. First up, the New Holy Cross...

    Commando Run, Vail, Colorado

It was a beautiful day. It was great to meet so many people. Everyone seemed like someone I wanted to know more about. We all met up at the top of Vail pass. Every indication was that the weather would be agreeable to our endeavours. We had somewhere in the neighborhood of 40...

    Teton Valley subliminality...so nice.

Here:: I was long overdue for a summer visit up to the Teton Valley of Idaho to visit my sister and check in on Rideit. So I packed up the family truckster and headed north. I took the back way in, electing to keep Rock Springs at a comfortable remove. The route up from Rawlins...

    new toy

I think the DHX air will get you that pluchness and bottom out resistance. Good gracious this is a nice rear shock. Square edge bumps and root clusters cause next to no loss of speed. But on steep ups I can get out of the saddle and crank.

    new toy

Picked it up from the factory last week, but due to scheduling, I had to sit on my hands until yesterday to build it. Yeti hasn't yet received their 36rc2s, so I slapped on a loaner. The wheelset rocks, I'll probably put a set on my AS-X. The x-gen ft der. shifts like a dream...

    Engineer Mtn., High Country Euphoria

I had a nice little high country ride yesterday. Engineer Mountain north of Durango. A very, very tasty descent is to be had there. "early season conditions may exist" To the left is the top of Molas Pass. If you've ever ridden or raced the Ironhorse, it...

    4th of July festivities

So the next day we decided to head north to the 'Boat. Strawberry Hot Springs, another ride with Rideit...change of scenery. All good reasons. The world is a perfect place when there is a trail this pleasant that leaves from here.

    4th of July festivities

I woke up on the 4th covered in frost and giddy with anticipation. The day 5 months in the planning had arrived. What followed was a thouroughly pleasant admixture of shop folks, mojos, trail and weather. Despite some stresses of logistics, the day was perfect. The light did suck...

You have a lap top right? You'll be able to post from pretty much anywhere. I was out running errands that other day and realized I forgot to jot down a number from an email I had recieved. I had the laptop with me so i booted it up and cruised slowly down a neighborhood street. 3 houses...

do you use the travel adjustment on your fork?

Agreed, reach down, twist, done. I rarely fret about exact increments either.
