it did when I first put in. It would bind before I could get in to high gear. This is where the file work came in. Had to take some metal out of the parallelogram where it was hitting. Once it was leveled down a bit everything worked great.

I'm still a bit surprised that the X0 did not need any work, maybe sram is accommodating this kind of mod's for us now?

40 lbs is still just a dream for me. It's sitting mid 43's and I don't know of many more places to cut weight without spending lots to get little. The frame itself is the big anchor weighing everything down. I've never had much luck with lighter rims.

I figured the best way to dump some weight was with the biggest part...the frame.

She now sits at a nice 40.45lbs.

Such an addictive hobby....

The Orange went down to high 38.53 with a new wheelset (Hope Pro II/Syncros DS-28's), Gamut guide, new cassette, etc.

The Syncros rims didn't work out for me. Changing to EX823's and tubeless tires actually saved weight over the lighweight rims and strips while gaining significant strength

and now with the purchase of a used Boxxer Team and converting it to air she's sitting at 36.88. Pretty respectable with sturdy rims and DH tires. I believe I'm done. I haven't ridden the Boxxer yet but everyone says it will be an improvement over the 888. That's a tough sell, I've been riding Marz from day 1, but even if it's performance is equal, it's tough to overlook the 1.4lb weight difference.

Its a large, and weighs 40.2 pounds (18.27 kg). In case you're wondering, I stripped the paint with some paint stripper, but if I ever did it again I'd pay someone the 50 bucks or so to have it walnut blasted.

My Faith with some upgrades: Formula "ones" and a dura-ace cassette. I have a XTR for freeride so it didn't save much weight. 40.5 pounds with heavy DH tubes. The noisy CK headset is comming out abd a 60G crank brothers DH headset is going in.

Those Faith's handle reallllly good with slammed geometry. I thought thats approximately what the new DHR was going to look like since their shock placement/rotation is very similar and they feel similar in progression to the old DHR's with a nice shock on them.

I've had it in my hands and there's not much to it. The crown race is tiny, and the cup is the outer part of the bearing. I'm confident in the weight claim, I just hope it holds up to what I will put it through. Its really slim to, which will give me the option to lower my front end considerably. Kings are very high.

specs... all u need to know is that the new Saints rock and keep an eye for the new Fulcrum DH/FR wheelset. Better engagement than the Deemax and already in production.

Now the bad news... i gained 5 lbs which offsets my bike weight. LOL!

On it i have the Boxxer Race 07 (with Team MoCo)
Mach1 Freeride rims on Formula hubs (those rims won't last a season on the rocks so i've gone to WTB Speeddisk Pro DH on my new build)
Nevegal 2.35 DH rear + 2.5 FR front (going for the Rollers on the 09 build)
24' rear Nokian DH tube and a Conty MTB 26 Light front tube
Hone chainset with the SRS to sort it out
Saint mid cage on the rear ( i dislike swiching a hanger in mid-ride)
SRAM 8sp road casette (12-14-16-18-20-22-24-26) for a great shift and the Attack shifter
a Sram 8sp chain (running 8sp for durability - i can't bother with the drivetrain)
Formula K24s 8" f / 7" r (i've had the J5 and the first Codes but they both came up with respiratory problems)
A Metel R rear shock - couldn't bother changing the stock shock
Ali stem with the Zoo! Trials bar... and that's about it

Where the weight go - wheels and rubber - those are light and cheap, but you need to change the rims with the tires

Yeah the ultimates only on a 7" rotor also, I'm only 67kg. I like the code on the front, rocking old style Juicy levers, with a carbon lever on the left just to make it a total brake barstard, non Avid rotors also.
