if you mean by your racelink. around 41-42lbs. if you went Ti spokes, then lighter... eeekk...that is great news. again, to the superco team, congrats and good luck on your new venture. can't wait to see what you guys come up with next!
great to see all of the other old brooklyns out there too!
i wonder how light you could get one of the origninal racelinks? not that i would ever be interested in that!

weight isn't a huge concern...just durability. as long as it isn't as heavy as your tmx was, i will be happy.if you mean by your racelink. around 41-42lbs. if you went Ti spokes, then lighter... eeekk...
you ever get your bearing overhaul done?
it would definitely be a task to try and make a racelink sit as heavy as a tmx. even Amish's was only at 48lbs.weight isn't a huge concern...just durability. as long as it isn't as heavy as your tmx was, i will be happy.
it is sitting at brooklyn right now. damian sent it for me...so we'll see what happens.
airstrike?it was sent in about a month or so ago. they were waiting on what color i wanted it repainted. i haven't heard from damian for a bit, but i'm not too worried about it...i know where he lives!

terry, this totally made my day! i can picture him doing this too!Chris won't be there. I think he's afraid he won't leave the mountain. Ever again. I caught him in the backyard late one night, trackstanding on the Bastard, clicking his heels three times against the swingarm repeating to himself: "There's no place like Plattekill, there's no place like Plattekill, there's no place like...." waiting for the Wizard of Oz to deliver him to the top of the hoopty Catskill resort.
I don't think a high BB is something to worry about on the RaceLink in my, admittedly limited, experience on the bike. Once you get your weight on the bike with proper sag, it's low & stable and oh so plush (I've got a lot of work to do to get the Boxxer as plush as the rear end on this bike). In fact, I strike my pedals pretty often with the eccentric (BB spindle) located around 2 O'clock when looking at it from the drive side. A cool thing about the RaceLink is that if you want your BB higher or lower, you can adjust it through the eccentric. I can't recall the total throw on the eccentric, but it's probably at least an 1". I'm running a Boxxer Team with Michi DH16 2.5's & 175 cranks.i must say this thread got to re-fall in love with bmw's all over again. i wanted one a few years back but never built upa dh bike. now that im for sure going to be building one next month and rotecs wont be available till the end of the year the race link is a very viable option for me. admittedly im going with a very light weight build for my fully and will try to keep it as close to 40lbs as possible. my only concern with this frame is bb height. i was hoping forsomething 14-14.5 whats the average bb height for all you owners out there? please include tires and forks. also sorry if this has been asked. i failed to read through all 250+ pages
no, and with proper sag this wont be a problem, like anvil said.is it possible to get different links to lower the bb height? or rather is there such a thing available?
i'm about 6foot. hasn't bothered me for 6 years. love itok cool i guess i just need to decide on a color now...any suggestions? i want something kinda different. oh and are there any 6 foot owners out there? im just wondering how small/big the ride is. i hear theres problems for people over 5'11.
