The US had a fire test on Jan 6th.

The US was the strongest democracy in the world because of the strength of it institutions (courts, supreme court, congress, house, police).
I see the future as a coin toss. Trump is far more persuasive and better supported than believed by his opposition.
I am EXTREMELY skeptical that the so called "institutions" are a check at this point. Republicans control all three branches of government, and Moscow Mitch McConnell has cooked the books on the Supreme Court. There is nothing legal stopping Trump. It's too late.
Edit: the abject failure by "the system" and the Biden administration to do literally anything regarding the Jan 6th coup attempt is proof of this.

Trump is trying to get a war ended between Russia & Ukraine, so deals need to be brokered. That war is not going to "just end" on it's own, because if it was, it would have done it a long time ago. Trump is correct, this war is in Europe's backyard, but we're paying the bulk of the $$$$. If you haven't been paying attention, the right is starting to gain steam over the left. People are getting sick & tired of a progressive agenda worldwide, so it's starting to turn.
Trump is shaking up Washington like he said he would do since 2016. However during his first term he was met with resistance. The left found a way to get Biden in the WH in 2020 in which Trump's agenda would have been kept at bay. He had 4 years to regroup and watch the Biden administration destroy this country. The voters were sick of it and Trump won all 3 branches of Government and is doing everything he said he would. Now with DOGE we're seeing how corrupt our government really is on both sides. The left is freaking out because they have been caught red handed stealing our money and funding a lot of bullshit programs. This is our tax dollars, this country is flat broke and there is no accountability. This needs to change!
