I'll ping a buddy that might be intredasted if it don't work out with SuboptimusPrime.ANYONE WITH A GG WANT CARBON TRAIL PISTOL SEATSTAYS?
Just found these in the garage. Does anyone want carbon Trail Pistol seat stays? I believe they will only fit the carbon swingarm.
These stays + 50mm stroke shock = 120mm travel. Or use a 55mm stroke shock to get 132mm travel.
Yours for shipping or pickup in Sandy UT.
I guess never mind, he's already got one.I'll ping a buddy that might be intredasted if it don't work out with SuboptimusPrime.
You got it mang! WIll follow up with DM.Hey Marshal. I’ve got a frame that can run these so if no one else wants them I’ll take them for a future trail pistol build.
I can DM you to set things up.
thanks!
How this stuff coming along. I realize I should probably do pivots in my pistola after 2 years of use.I just started to make my own GG hardware, last year, as things started to fail / wear out. There is room for improvement. I make the replacements out of stainless. I went with a (3) piece design for the horst pivot. It's held up awesome & eliminated the garbage threads in the chainstay clevis. https://ridemonkey.bikemag.com/threads/this-is-whats-wrong-with-the-industry™.279473/post-4671944

Next up is the seatstay / rocker fastener. Going with a combo external hex - internal hex socket. Just need to dial in a new 5mm hex wobble broach on stainless.

Horst hardware worked out great. It‘s been in use for about a year now. The seatstay / rocker hardware I haven’t had the time yet. Got mat’l & worked up a quick dwg so far.How this stuff coming along. I realize I should probably do pivots in my pistola after 2 years of use.
If you are looking for aluminum, I have some in purple drank.anyone have shredd dogg stays?
i believe shred dogg ones were only ever offered in aluIf you are looking for aluminum, I have some in purple drank.
shred dogg was released with the revved carbon front triangle but alu chain & seat stays. but yes, it was also full alu at one point. can't remember if those stays were compatible.I think he's referring to V1 alu frames, rather than the plastic ones.
I believe not. I should have clarified with "main triangle" in my response above.shred dogg was released with the revved carbon front triangle but alu chain & seat stays. but yes, it was also full alu at one point. can't remember if those stays were compatible.
now that i think about it, i believe the purple drank color was only on the full alloy frames. good point.I believe not. I should have clarified with "main triangle" in my response above.
What rear pressure do you run anyway? I’m running 22f 24r most days, DD both tires.Started getting rear rim hits despite still running a DD at same pressure as I have for ages. Could it just be the rear shock needs a service?

So only 2-3,000 miles or so?New a few weeks ago, DD out back 29x2.5 Aggressor at 24.5-25 PSI.

That’s what I said.I think it was new for Lenawee, so 6 rides
No way do I want to add more weight to the rear of this thing. Already considering changing the rear tyre to a 2.4 EXO+ DHR to drop a chunk of weight. Just not sure why I'm suddenly getting rim hits.cush core my man.

Just out of curiosity - do you have an accurate psi gauge? Also - have you compared with a different gauge? No way do I want to add more weight to the rear of this thing. rimpact then. way lighter than cushcore. its what i use in my trail bike(s).No way do I want to add more weight to the rear of this thing. Already considering changing the rear tyre to a 2.4 EXO+ DHR to drop a chunk of weight. Just not sure why I'm suddenly getting rim hits.
Lenawee....now that's a name I haven't heard in a while (insert Obi one kenobi meme here)I think it was new for Lenawee, so 6 rides
Lenawee is great, the climb to the top is even better with the new single-track climb that A-Basin put in above the upper lodge. But the finale of the ride after Montezuma is the best bitLeenawa

I'm sure it's still steep and awesome.

Did you "shuttle" it? And by that I mean park a car at a-basin, then another at Keystone?Lenawee is great, the climb to the top is even better with the new single-track climb that A-Basin put in above the upper lodge. But the finale of the ride after Montezuma is the best bit
This is the only way to do it.Did you "shuttle" it? And by that I mean park a car at a-basin, then another at Keystone?
Agreed. There are people who are crazy enough to ride from Keith up to ABasin. I'm not one of those. I know a couple. Just wondering his experience. This is the only way to do it.
I would happily do that, I've ridden that stretch all the way up over Loveland Pass before on a MTB when I'd come over Argentine Pass on a loop. But I've always had sufficient persons and vehicles to shuttle this ride.Agreed. There are people who are crazy enough to ride from Keith up to ABasin. I'm not one of those. I know a couple.
