This is my trusty bitch. Almost 3 full riding years old now after a brief hiatus to ride a couple other frames which didn't really suit me. Got the chainstay reinforced by Frank, and the shiny link in the back is new and 1/2" shorter than stock. Slacker geo, same shock length and the shock rate remains damn close to the same. The bike could be called "dated", but it's fast as hell. It's a stupid cliche, but it's confidence inspiring. Just feels flawless going fast.



Single speed for gravity only stuff, Double Beezy in the back, 888 with a BOS cart up front (soon to be replaced), 31" BooBars, Saint cranks and brakes, Hadley hubs on Dual Duty rims. Running some Specialized Clutch tires now which are REALLY impressive. Also now have the grips wrapped in road bike bar tape - ultra comfy. Will also have a custom made upper crown to drop the bars 1"-1.25" in the near future.

And now for my contribution. 08 Sunday, little dirty today after a ride. So glad to be back on it though, first time I have been on it in 8 weeks after I crashed in Tahoe. 40ish lbs depending on spec.

im also runnign a pretty big rear spring at 500lbs and the heavy front one (might account for some differences) and the wheels probably make the additional.

At 6'2" and 240 or so fully geared/padded up im pretty much a tank.

yeah im running a 500# in the rear too (which is too heavy for me)

im about 220lbs and 6'2.75"ish

i dont really notice the weight compared to my 39.5lbs RS7 tho

all i know is I love the ****ing bike at whatever weight. Do you ride 7springs at all? I was just there on the 25th and its crazy how much attention this bike gets.

One of the dudes there basically said to me "oh **** that bikes so nice, Im going to ride it later."

didnt ask, just said he was going to ride it. ride it he did not.

my "downhill bike" ...... Hey I live just outside of Detroit and rode "downhill" on a trek 4900 for years...it's a vast improvement that I can still use locally...someday when I am rich I will have a dedicated downhill cruiser like some of you guys.

Bars are now painted black and a set of muddy mary's were added. I'll have to get an updated picture.

The headtube is 66 which sounds steep until you get the bike into its sag... It's got 9" of travel, and I haven't done the math, but that's pretty darn slack.

As for the seattube, yes... it's VERY slack. Almost difficult to climb on. But hey... it's a DH bike, and the standover height is VERY low which is great for all sorts of reasons.

I absolutely LOVE my Zumbi. LOVE IT.
