God, YES! That was it! Shoot.
Man, I wanted that bike soooo badly. 4" front and rear, super long travel back in the day. Guess I've always been more of a DH kinda guy, even way back then...
the Crosstrak Sonoma. At the time they were selling them with a rubber air bladder type of rear shock. It got good reviews in the mags. I almost bought one but I settled on a San Andreas, glad I did. Although I love to have one as a vintage bike.

Yup, the Sonoma, they made their own fork too, 4" travel, super-long back in those days.
It'd be great to have one now, but there are so many old bikes I want...:)

No clue. Keep searching eBay maybe? They're pushing 14 years old at this point, so good luck coming across one..
Its awesome when I find some cool old DH bike on Ebay. Seems like I see a lot of the older K2 bikes on there

We had one of those at our dealership for show. It was the biggest P.O.S. ever. Welds looked like toothpaste. I wanted to swap out all the XT for Alivio for myself as I doubted anyone at the dealership would know the difference.....lol. I took it for a quick boot and though I was going to die!
There was one of these at CwmCarn the other week. The bird ****e welds alone would scare me off riding it , let alon on the DH run there!

I've worked on the BMW's, man the cable routing sucked! All internal with no guides. That and it rode like poop.

Merc has a range of bikes out now and is setting up service agents at bike shops around the country. I guess the are expecting to sell a few.

Over your shoulder whispering
hey butch, If you ever see Fennell again he was going to trade me one of these for a Judy brace.
Fennell has resurfaced several times this year! He actually RACED at Sugar in slalom....sadly, he did not have the pink David Letterman shirt anymore.:disgust1:

But true to form, he was on a girls FS bike similar his old Jamis!

Man, those are two cool bikes!!
Yeah man, that first one was pretty much my dream bike for like 5 years.
Anyone remember the titanium Marin frame that Earthquake Jake used to ride, had a Rock Shox Mag 21 SL Ti rear end, and for a while the "Diablo" prototype that became the Judy. Soooooo cool...

Yup, that's it! Sooo sweet.
It is a cool site too, I've been there a bunch of times. I'd love to find one of those bikes somewhere, not that it would have RS rear, but still...
You could just find a Mag 21 as well and "swap" it out :p

A pair of Mtn Cycle Suspenders, of course!
Really? I knew MC made disc brakes, but I didn't know they made suspension at one point. Didn't Mr. Dirt have an inverted DH fork with canti mounts? I seem to recall seeing that
