its still a 5lb difference. i dont think the vivid air will save you 4.5lbs.
though the tires do save a ton of weight.

i used the same tires all last year on my last TR450...super grippy, great size, and i only flatted twice. This is in utah!

Agreed, figure the vivid air saves 1.5lbs over my vivid + steel coil. thats only 2lbs of the 5lbs. Single ply tires over my muddy marys is another 2lbs though I suppose and then it becomes more realistic.

They cut .5lb from the front triangle if I remember correctly, just thinning out spots where they could.

FWIW, I'd guess my medium 450 to be in the 41-42lb range, but that is a 2010 frame, 2010 888 EVO, steel spring RC4, and relatively heavy wheels (with dual ply rubbers).

At some point, I will definitely be thinking about a CCDB or a Vivid Air, but I'll always run 2X tires.

I got a bit of air suspension to test for a little while. It lightened my bike a hell of a lot. 16.1kg = 35.5lb.

The Vivid Air has been great so far, I really like it.

not a first gen obviously. I'll be honest my bike lasted 2 years of serious hack abuse. Thats fine by me, and once the new warranty frames are arriving i'll have the choice to upgrade for cost to a undead or just have another Revolt shipped. I, like so many people tend to change bikes every few years and I had not a single complaint about my frame until noticing small stress cracks. New bikes have problems, especially entirely new suspension designs, so im willing to give it some time to ironout.

Im super stoked to have this Canfield though and cannot wait to get it out and ride. I have a few friends that want to try riding out and dont have bikes so having this and a evil will be perfect to build up 2 bikes so someone else can ride.

isnt the Undead's suspension setup completely different then the Revolt's? they couldnt get aluminum right and id be afraid to ride their first attempt at CF IMO.
even if you replace bikes every so often like i do, barely 2 years out of a bike is not good.
i cant even begin to think of the warranty wait if you break their CF bike. and buying it at cost is great but youre still paying for a replacement
how long have you been waiting for yours anyway??

I sent mine back in December shortly after my AC Separation. I was upfront with Kevin about not needing a frame soon since it was both winter and rehab time for me.

Im not sure how the undead differs from the revolt, wether or not it'll still be delta is unknown outside the small circle of test riders and Evil's camp. Evil has always been good to me when I needed help or parts after rebuilds and as long as Kevin is still doing it i'll give him my business. I needed new hardware before and emailed Kevin and got a huge bag-o-parts for my bike.

They'll still be doing the Al Revolt in addition to the CF Undead and its been my understanding the undead has been seeing quite alot of rider testing. I talk to Kevin often and Im confident in what they're doing. I bought a first gen bike and would do it again given my situation. I think alot of the layup issues with the Al frame will be solved going to carbon. Companies are proving that carbon can be as tough if not tougher than AL.
