I like that the main pivot has a sizeable diameter.
28.99 one might say?I like that the main pivot has a sizeable diameter.
I had an eye opening discussion with a riding buddy lately, he told me that BB spindles should be as stiff as possible with size between 24 and 30mm being available but on the other hand pivot axles for the rear linkage are much smaller: for example 15mm on a Evil Following gen 1, 17mm on a Devinci Django...
Reminds me of the old Sintesi Bazooka.
You again? We're discussing XC bikes here now?
The Lizards seem to know what they're doing
Do you have reading problems? What does the title of this thread say exactly? We're discussing XC bikes here now?

The tracks have been getting moar rowdy lately, and many riders are choosing full sussers over hardtails.Does anyone actually ride XC full suspension bikes? I never see them in real life.
Carbon hardtails, yes.
460 mm reach on medium? That’s longer than most large frames a year or three back...https://www.pinkbike.com/news/first-ride-yetis-sb130.html
I don't like Yeti. Always thought they were over-priced and fragile. But damn I reckon that thing would make a sick trail bike. Why can't the affordable manufacturers get on board with the burly trailbike, good seat angle concept?
Yeah the reach figure is getting pretty silly. I dunno how people bunnyhop bikes when their bars are that far forward. Could always size down I guess, but for some people with the right ape index that would probably fit. I'm 5'9 and 445-450mm reach is my preference460 mm reach on medium? Been doing it since 2016https://www.pinkbike.com/news/first-ride-yetis-sb130.html

I love GG bikes, I really do. I'd be all over a Shred Dogg.Been doing it since 2016
My XL is 455.460 mm reach on medium? That’s longer than most large frames a year or three back...
Forgot about the Australia price inflation. We've worked with our Australian distributor to reduce that as much as possible, but tariffs and currency conversion is the main hurdle.I love GG bikes, I really do. I'd be all over a Shred Dogg.
But here in Oz the GX build Shred Dogg is $8100 AUD, slightly more than a carbon Bronson. When I say affordable I mean the soulless stuff that I can afford to run.
Its a total scam over here with the duties. Small manufacturers get hammered somehow, so pricing from US/Canada is irrelevant over here.Forgot about the Australia price inflation. weren’t you just over here? next time, come without bike, have bike shipped to where you are going, return with new bike...Its a total scam over here with the duties. Small manufacturers get hammered somehow, so pricing from US/Canada is irrelevant over here.
Over there an aluminium GX Patrol is a few hundred cheaper than a carbon Kona. Over here, the Kona is cheaper by $1000. It's a bullshit system, and I think only the big manufacturers can use the economies of scale to bring stuff into Oz at reasonable price points. But their geo all sucks (or their durability).
Interesting you should mention that....weren’t you just over here? next time, come without bike, have bike shipped to where you are going, return with new bike...
Maybe you could work with the Australian government to have a reduced-tariff health-care-free model, so that if you are injured while riding it, no health care?Forgot about the Australia price inflation. Threaded BB Yay! Superboost Meh...
NA prices have certainly increased, European prices are ludicrous:pricing is meh as well
Certainly not the cheapest option if you compare to YT, but to be fair the GX LTD option is not that bad and the bike has a lifetime warranty.pricing is meh as well
My lbs which sells a lot of Devinci told me several times that they are very easy to deal with for warranty issues, unlike other brands that are much more of a pain to deal with.I have used Devinci's warranty and they were quick to respond and sent the part.

My recent Rocky warranty experience has been...suboptimal.Rocky has been fine with warranties, it just takes them 6 months.
