I had an AMC (Montgomery ward’s) ‘bmx’ bike with a mono shock, that was stolen from my front yard the second day I had it. (Baltimore, go finger).
I can’t seem to find a picture of it anywhere, though. I don’t think many were made. Probably ‘75-’76?

That sounds about right timewise.
Saw one in Florida back about 76-78, don't remember much about it other than it was cool as hell. Wanted one for a long time, but I don't think they ever made it to Canuckistan as it was the only one I ever saw. Everything else was dual shock motorcycle look suckage complete with breadloaf seats and fake plastic gastanks.
Have a couple of pics in an old book somewhere.

Yes...the lead guitarist uses it as a guitar pick, but doesn't throw into the crowd after the show for obvious reasons.
