Getting pretty sick of people doing that with disposable vapes.i was gonna say, if they need to get rid of it, just throw it your car window driving down the highway in the middle of the night like a normal person.
Yea that was a tongue in cheek comment. It's become a running joke on a local FB group to respond with that whenever some boomer asks "how do I get rid of x?"Getting pretty sick of people doing that with disposable vapes.
What's even more disturbing is that it's clearly not a hardtail but can't see if you are still hacking it though!Australians love their country.
Aussie Aussie Aussie, deadshit deadshit deadshit.

This was a lookout ~25yrs back, now it's just an illegal dumping ground.
Yeah I got the shits with it, four freehub failures this year so I just needed a change. What's even more disturbing is that it's clearly not a hardtail but can't see if you are still hacking it though!
how is this happening?! 4 freehub failures?!Yeah I got the shits with it, four freehub failures this year so I just needed a change.
But the Hadley let out an almighty bang yesterday so it will need to be disassembeld and inspected.
Yes I am still a hack, I could swap to Ardents and not notice a change in cornering grip.
Novatec Premium snapped and chipped pawls twice.how is this happening?! 4 freehub failures?!
I wonder if there's excessive flex in the rear triangle, so the hub/axle aren't supported squarely and that's pulling the hub out of alignment to damage the mechanisms?Novatec Premium snapped and chipped pawls twice.
QVIST took the top of most of the ratchet teeth after a few days, then it just failed because of stupid design, the whole freehub assembly relies on a push on cap that has an O-Ring that barely slots in to a groove.

These bits should not be inside the hub shell, they should be attached to the freehub body.
I'll see what's up with the Hadley tomorrow, I assumed it was over greased from new as it slipped a bit then got better.
But in the last couple of days it has made some noises.
I had a freehub fail ~six years ago, but I think that was partly my fault, said that to Syntace but they still sent me new fits for free.
It was a bloody impressive hub for how light it was, like 20% lighter than a Hope and had preload adjust.
I checked alignment on the Norco, I thought that maybe when I bolt it up tight it loads the axle up, but it's all good and the frame is pretty damn stiff in the back end.I wonder if there's excessive flex in the rear triangle, so the hub/axle aren't supported squarely and that's pulling the hub out of alignment to damage the mechanisms?

Have you considered the sprag clutched Onyx classic? From what I understand the Vesper is not as strong due to a smaller sprag clutch. IF you can get one to slip it is the roller elements against the hubshell and when the torque is removed, they go back to normal. Would not be catastrophic and leave you walking. I would imagine if you somehow can do it often enough, you may wear the hubshell somewhat over time.Novatec Premium snapped and chipped pawls twice.

I'm quite happy with the Onyx classic hub I switched to a year or so ago.Have you considered the sprag clutched Onyx classic? My trailbike has had a classic since I built it in '19.I'm quite happy with the Onyx classic hub I switched to a year or so ago.
FTR, I hate loud hubs. HOWEVER, out here, in the land of hungry, pissed off mega- fauna, I basically never, ever want to see any animals anymore on my rides. It is quite amazing how much more wildlife you see when not being chased by a swarm of bees.
