Actually saw this thing at Plattekill on July 9th. Terry was even nice enough to let me pedal it around. She said if it wasn't her birthday, she would've let me take it for a run. When I asked about any kind of idea when we might see a production model, she said unfortunately never...

Probably too expensive to produce and all the cheap bastards out there will complain that I wont spend that much for a frame. Just look at the CNC work on the frame. It has to be expensive to produce and to actully make a profit it will not be affordable for 95% of the riders out there.

She didn't really say why, so I wasn't going to push it. But she said not going to happen indefinitely...

Bummed too cause myself and a friend of mine would've each bought one. My friend even has a 24" Satellite.

The exact quote is "on hold indefinately". Not "never".

Good to meet you at Pkill 717. I trust you passed along greetings to your buddy Chris, eh. Always good to know customers are still enjoying the ride.

Siko has a bulk of the reason correct on Silencer production delays in his post about cost vs. what people are willing to pay. Even once we are in a position to get the in-house CNC required to lower the price, it still won't be enough for what the bike and Doc's time is worth and what most of you are willing to pay.

Plus there's a lot to be said for the steady paycheck, health insurance and a couple weeks paid vacation he's enjoying for the first time in 15 years at a second job.

But after his 2nd gig, Doc's still working on Superco projects every day, pretty much seven days a week. Like the HT frames which are still doing quite well despite the lack of promotion/marketing since I stepped down from daily operations last year. And the short travel gem that may end up being released before the Silencer but it's still a long way away - not yet proto'ed but it's pretty much ready to go.

Important note, especially for HT folks out there, although our time slot for phone and email correspondence aren't the norm, we're still committed to supporting our customers. So be sure to leave a phone message or send an email with any HT questions or issues so we know to get back to you. Just because you're not getting an answer mid-day doesn't mean we jumped ship.

You're a faithful crew and we appreciate it.

Group hug,
Terry

its really a shame :cray:
But it wasn't a shame finally meeting you and your knucklehead-almost-missed-your-race-run self. Sorry we didn't end up getting to take that run but strong work nailing your race run. You slayed The 'Kill, make sure to get up there more often now. If nothing else, do it for me! :thumb:

love my Charger, and if the Silencer ever does hit production I would love one to replace my Jedi.
Cool, I'll pass that along to Doc. Does he have a pic of your complete build? If not and you want it on the Torch page send it to me at ride@ridesuperco.com. I'll include it with the long overdue post I'm gearing up for. Riding shot too if you have a good one. Skill irrelevent, just needs to be a clear photo.

Thanks T for clearing it up. I so want a silencer still. All others bikes are just place holders for it.

No, it was never "never". On hold indefinately. But still quite sad indeed.
indefinately is never in my dictionary. To be honest I have lost hope.

btw. Im very curious at the price. Yeti and GT seem to sell bikes at close to 4k$.

"Too expensive" has never been in the vocabulary for you guys buying BMW products in the past with Avalanche MTN suspension and the like. I'm sure the Silencer will sell as fast as they are produced, regardless of pricing.

Same here, my turner 4x is already fearing for it's spot in my stable.

Also, the silencer is now officially just as cool as the rn01:)
Hey man, cool on the Turner because it makes me think you've probably been riding in recent years and not just work work work. I hope all is well and you'll keep me posted if you make it to Sundance one of these years. You'll always have a place to stay here.

Ran into a pair of them in Sundance. Wait that was Terry and Doc.
Just have to say that Doc saved my ars last year with a bad frame. He fixed it for me. Very cool
Thanks Terry and Doc.
