First real mtn bike ride of the year. So much shit in my life and in my head lately. This fixed much.
Any comments to share on that cassette? Does it work/shift well?
No complaints really, it works. I don't have a huge amount of miles on it yet, but it seems good enough and I'd buy another.
I have had 2 or 3 bad shifts, but that's probably my fault.
This drive train is right out of @Sandwich 's Frankenstein book - shimano chain, Chinese cassette, sram shifter and shimano deore derailleur. The b tension screw took some major fiddling, but it all works together somehow.
The derailleur doesn't seem to have enough tension on the chain to work with the 9 tooth ring, but I doubt I'll ever use that thing anyways.
This is never going to work properly. They are designed for subtlety different cable pulls.
12 speed is essentially the same.

We actually had perfect conditions after spring snow last week. Only lasted 1-2 days.
