‘‘Twas good times. I figured it was time to go before the province burst into flames and the temps get too insane.

Kept the trails sensible to avoid the ER…. Some of that terrain looks way too exposed for these old balls.

crammed a little over 1,000m of climbing in. I decided to take today off…

Tonight's ride started out well..

Then quickly turned to shit with damage from the storm on the weekend.

Then it started dumping rain. Third rain ride in a week, my new drive train feels clapped out already.

Any comments to share on that cassette? Does it work/shift well?
No complaints really, it works. I don't have a huge amount of miles on it yet, but it seems good enough and I'd buy another.

I have had 2 or 3 bad shifts, but that's probably my fault.

This drive train is right out of @Sandwich 's Frankenstein book - shimano chain, Chinese cassette, sram shifter and shimano deore derailleur. The b tension screw took some major fiddling, but it all works together somehow.

The derailleur doesn't seem to have enough tension on the chain to work with the 9 tooth ring, but I doubt I'll ever use that thing anyways.

Dirt conditions are prime after the rain all week.

Some true narrow single track with lots of eye level shit to keep it interesting on this one.

And then this guy, buddy is a little far off eh.
