Finally figured out how to accomplish the lunch-time sneak ride! Things are buff and lush out there, and most derecho damage has been cleared out from the main trails.

thought it would be muggy and buggy, but it's still cool enough that in the shade of the forest it was very pleasant. and the bugs left me alone, even with no DEET on.

I won't ride before sunrise around here ... too many critters.
Ask me how much I love having to be out in our driveway after dark with the DSO.

A bear dragged our dumpster 10 yards and dumped in on it's side in a ditch last week. If it had dumped it the other side of the road the neighbours FJ would have been squashed.

Hey 4 days ago a black bear killed 10 chickens in my in-laws coop outside of Laramie.

We got a pile of rain this morning which made for mildly muggy desert air. All the rain this spring has made a heavy pollen load.

First time riding the fatbike in a good long while. Took it up and down the hill. I have a lot of miles on this setup so it felt familiar, stable, and so twitchy compared with the new mountain bikes. Rigid is real.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
Been riding the Snow King area for 26 years, I thought I knew it intimately. Found a 400 foot climb/1200 foot descent that I never knew about. Granted, it was an overgrown, unused old logging/ranching road, but still…new tread is fun! Managed to ride 2700 or so verts just poking around, sniffing out trails.
