Went to ride a cool little track that is on a school's property and was built and is maintained by the students under the guidance of a friend of mine. Track is an interesting mix of an XC course with pumptrack and dual slalom elements and the odd rock gardens. About 4k in total scrammed into a fairly small area. Fun as hell though!

Rare (long hair hippy) @Serial Midget sighting on my first dirt of 2019 at the shoulder season trails of Lewis and Clark caverns

He seems to be working more than you would expect a fun-tired person #ThanksObama

Most excellent day on the bicycle. Love how the first hill on a ride can wipe out any remaining hangover feelings. :D

Beauty day today.

Hauling my fatass up this steep rock tiled turn thing. Made it for the first time. :D

I have been traveling along I-80 the past week. Poking around Trailforks app, I found a couple of trail systems nearby the interstate (so I can park my 70-foot, 80,000-lb vehicle).

Attempt #1 - It was about 60 freedoms and condition looked OK at the trailhead, but nope.

Attempt #2 - Again, the condition looked great by the trailhead but also fail

Attempt #3 - 3rd time's the charm. Rode about 20 miles.

Had croquetas and lamb chops at Basque restaurant nearby

From the 50 mile race on Saturday. It was blazing hot for me, running low on water and it felt like at least 90. There was a big rock wall on the other side of this creek. I didn’t even try. Hell if I’m going to overheat. Still finished just fine, didn’t have to walk and only about 30 sec of cramps earlier and they never came back. Around 7k climbing/descent. Absolutely amazing how fast you can descend on an XC bike or how crazy gnarly the terrain needs to be to make something beefier faster.
