that awesome stretch going up Belcher?
Looks similar, but NTM: Cottonwood Canyon heading up from the southwest part of the Loop. It was fine until that point but the trails up on the mesa were a hot poor-drainage mess.

22 miles, 3300ft vert and a very large snow bank at 11500ft. One of my favorite routes.

Right thumb is still really sore. Riding in anger is not a good thing for it at the moment. You gotta do what you gotta do.
More and more pussy paths opening up all the time. Grrrrrrr!

Hmmm. It feels much better with the fatter/squishier grip. I think it just needs more time to really heal, which I'm bone-headedly impeding by continuing to ride, even if only taking it easy.

Rode pedaly stuff keeping the thumb above the bar as much as possible That helped. Air time at this point is a no-go - landing is not comfy. FFS, shifting hurts. Was wanting to get to Thunder this Sunday/Monday, but that is probably not a great idea.

Give me even more respect for those people out there doing it one-handed. Granted, i'm also a wuss.

THIS!!!

I piled up crap on the outside of two trees to block the easy lines at the beginning of the year; the trail goes between two trees, while going uphill and over some tricky roots. Yes, its a bitch, but its also a black rated trail, so.........of course someone has taken the time to not only continue to ride around the trees, but also clear out all the crud.

On the other hand, the huge corner that people were cutting in another forest, that I blocked several times and finally ended up putting up a sign calling the people out, has not been tampered with since the sign went up. :)

Gave a tour of a new-to-her place to a friend. Riding a completely unfamiliar and much more techy area than used to, she kicked ass. My neighborhood riding buddy looks on.

Start of the DH flow trail. Brought the old full face because I don't have skillzzzz. New to me brakes and need to shorten rear brake hose.

Leaves

Rainy season has started so this will only get more slippery

Wondered why someone had closed off one side of the trail. It was because this Durian fruit would have smacked you right in the face.
