Last day at Killington.

There are chair lifts everywhere here, so many. This old one has a little bar inside of the turnstile motor room at the top.

State XC championiships. Then I went home, changed the brake pads and pulleys on my enderpo bike and hit some gnar...

Was pretty happy my suspension was working halfway decent during the race, I had a manipoo rear shock I was testing after a bad warranty experience and it's just been a jackhammer, pounded my a$$ a few weeks ago on a 72 mile race. Fox DPS with push-to-unlock and a slightly air chamber reduction and I was back in business. So nice to not have it totally F-ed up.

Couple of recent pics.
These I took yesterday after a 'ride' (1600 foot Hike-a-bike) that i hadn't done since a massive wildfire a few years ago. I couldn't believe how much burned, but the regeneration is beginning. Some trails in there will never be rideable again.
totally fun, though, deep in Grizzly country.

and this is from Whitefish. Pretty country up there.

Bad photo of me on the second to last ride I was on. Not pictured are the scabby knee and festering toe from an earlier crash...

Better picture of Jefe in the same spot, a few moments earlier...

My friend Claire's bike at the top, surveying the land from 12,500' or thereabouts...

Climb was superb. Descent features are pretty sick but much like that zone a town to the west the soils are SO dry it was a loose dust fest. Will ride again after some rain.
So it will be a blown out bomb hole fest by this weekend?

That is also my thoughts and feelings on the subject... needs moisture and to be ridden in. And while pretty rad, I did feel like some of the DH features were built a little janky.

No. By today.
