When will the USA finally learn to ban all guns haven't enough Innocent people lost there lives already.
Come back when you've hooked up enough neurons to form a thought process. When will the USA finally learn to ban all guns haven't enough Innocent people lost there lives already.
you do know that you just set yourself up for this ****, right?Whatever dude
I Never said it hasn't happened in the UK, and it will most likely happen again. But in the last 5 years how many Innocent people have died in the US, because everyone and any one has access to a gunCould never happen in the UK (Dunblane).
So how many other multiple shooting incidents in the UK like Dunblane can you recall? And do you know what happened to gun laws in the UK following Dunblane?Could never happen in the UK (Dunblane).
I agree. America in general has a really shortsighted and childish viewpoint about guns..
*yawn*So how many other multiple shooting incidents in the UK like Dunblane can you recall? And do you know what happened to gun laws in the UK following Dunblane?
I keep forgetting how dumb you are - multiple shootings..? DO YOU UNDERSTAND?*yawn*
'Violence against the person' - Long-term national recorded crime trend for England and Wales
until they tentatively id'd the perp, i naturally assumed it was some disaffected white guy w/ a video game habit. still don't see the asians as a shifty lot.blaming Asians, etc etc, except for dealing with the obvious problem - gun control.
i don't personally have any use for a handgun. i know the popular reason is personal protection, but it seems highly unlikely that i'll have occasion to use it for that. how tight a grouping can you get in the middle of the night from your bed when you're half awake? also, just knowing you're carrying could influence your risk tolerance when you're out & about, which i argue increases the chance for a fatal incident....?
Cheney?even the sleepiest eyed shooter can pull off a nice grouping with a 12 guage shotgun
I prefer a Claymore that's rigged to "The Clapper". No need to even open your eyes.even the sleepiest eyed shooter can pull off a nice grouping with a 12 guage shotgun
Why would we ban all guns when a ban only bans legal guns. There will still be illegal guns everywhere and the market would grow huge for illegal weaponary and that would leave us law abiding gun owners defenseless. Haven't we learned from things like prohibition of what making it illegal will do? Why should we leave law abiding citizens defenseless against criminals? A ban on guns will do nothing against illegal guns. Well unless they just stop making guns period....come one people get real. This world can't be the utopian socialist society you so wish for. I never want to be spoon fed I want to work hard for everything I own and I should have the right to protect myself, my family and my property.
LOL.Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Okay John Lennon.......I will never join your dream. I can't believe people want to be spoon fed like babies.Imagine no possessions

I would bet my peni$ size compares quite favorably to yours, little man...not that it matters.I agree. America in general has a really shortsighted and childish viewpoint about guns. How many copycats will there be after this little massacre?
All these deaths because there are a few $$ to be made from idiots with half a brain and even less of a penis. Grow up. America used to be the definition of progressive. Now it can't seem to recognize a very simple thing that it could do to make this problem much less of a problem.
Banning guns won't solve this overnight, but this is not and never has been a 1/0 situation. Right now guns are essentially freely available. If they were banned, slowly they would become harder and harder to get. Black market prices would go up and up. More importantly, ammunition would become hard to come by. Guns are pretty useless without ammo. Soon only the most hardcore criminals could afford to use guns. Police would respond to shots fired with overwhelming force.
And one day, you would not have to worry about deranged killers in your schools. 35 lives of educated people could have been preserved.
point is, socialism seems even more annoying when put to hippie music.chinkerjuarez said:Okay John Lennon.......I will never join your dream. I can't believe people want to be spoon fed like babies.
I want you as the key note speaker in Blacksburg. Then we'll get to see you protect yourself. Why would we ban all guns when a ban only bans legal guns. Because as we all know, criminals follow the law...When will the USA finally learn to ban all guns haven't enough Innocent people lost there lives already.
Does anyone remember the last mass shooting, in the a mall in Utah? Remember how it ended? There was an armed offduty officer who shot the killer. So how many other multiple shooting incidents in the UK like Dunblane can you recall? And do you know what happened to gun laws in the UK following Dunblane?
yup, that's more like it.fixed

I Agree good point. If there are more guns and more people carrying guns people might be more weary of doing violence. If more people carry more people will be weary that someone else is carrying and they might think twice about doing anything.Does anyone remember the last mass shooting, in the a mall in Utah? Maybe we need amend the laws to allow more people to carry guns...
Yes...because Iraq is such a good model to follow. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry carrying an AK down the street just to 'feel safe'...great plan.I Agree good point. Nope - no gun control, before you were born:It would be great to say "no more guns for anyone". But lets get real. There are a lot of guns out there, guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment, and even if we banned guns totally tomorrow, there would be lots of guns secreted away (see Assault Weapon Ban).
One thing I wanted to say was why don't we teach everyone not to shoot people when you are feeling depressed? Sounds stupid but when I was a kid, there were no mass shootings.
and it's euro-whingers that navel-gaze.It does seem somewhat peculiarly American that many people's response to a gun tragedy such as this is a wish for more guns.
I want you as the key note speaker in Blacksburg. Then we'll get to see you protect yourself.
It's not about being spoon fed. It's about eliminating the threat. And wow...stop making guns and ammunition...there's a crazy idea. I know you'll all say that a well regulated militia is the best defense against a crazy government...but how's this: Don't elect stupid people. That'll solve a lot of problems...maybe even prevent mass shootings at institutions of higher learning.
But I forgot, we have the right to bear arms and arm bears...whatever the hell we want to do. Go right ahead and ban trenchcoats. Blame video games and rap music. Just don't touch our rights to shoot the tits off cows with an AR15 if we want to. You might feel safer toting a gun around...but I certainly don't feel any safer with you packing heat.
A predictably dog-in-the-manger response.and it's euro-whingers that navel-gaze.
There was one in the 60's, zero in the 70's, couple in the 80's, a little more regular in the 90's, and it looks like it happens every year now.Nope - no gun control, before you were born:

Only Luddites would place false blame on new technology (radio/phonograph/TV/movies/videogames/etc) for psychologically unstable individuals - it happens again and again throughout history. It might not be good for these people, but eventually one thing or the other might set them off.
I was sorta going over the top to see the reaction I'd get. And to your credit, you mentioned the one thing that needs to be addressed: the actual people themselves.imagine that guns were banned worldwide and that there were only a handful to be had. if i were a man hellbent on killing some people at a school i'd just make myself a field expedient claymore out of household materials (info readily available on the net) and wreak death and destruction on the innocent. so then what? ban the purchase of certain household materials? full body searches on everyone entering/exiting campus? internet classrooms to keep students from congregating in one area to reduce the risk of "mass" casualties?
how about we recognize the real problem; the mental state of our kids. a gun just makes the inevitable easier but eliminating a gun does not eliminate the problem or the threat.
