What do you guys think about a transistion bottle rocket for an all mountain bike?
I have heard a lot of good things about the BR, but have never rode one. The bottle rocket is up there with my other top choices, Yeti 575, Reign x2, and a few others just don't know what to get, they're all...
Thank you guys for the help, I ruled the vp free out.I was just thinking it's only a 1 lbs heavier than the Nomad and has a more than enough travel and a vpp design so it may have been alright for hills. The riegn x2 looks like a nice bike. What do you guys think about the BMC fourstroke 03...
I actually did look into a 6 point 4, but the components didn't seem all that great, it was new however and all bikes I am looking at except the Jamis would be used for around the same price as the 6 point 4, and they all have pretty sweet components, ie marz 66 rc2 fork, hope ti brakes,.....
Not to seem like such a pussy, but I tore my ACL a few years back and want to try and get something that take up the impact a bit before it reaches my knees. I have looked into some hardtail options, since I have an old Steel frame Scott. I do like the plushness of a FS, but do understand that...
I have looked at the Nomad, Yeti 575, VP-free, Jamis Xam, and just can't decide which one to get. I also can't get on each one to ride around, it just isn't possible. I am now leaning toward a used vp-free, sc owners seem to be very happy with them and to my knowledge are only a pound heavier...
I already bought some speakers from that guy in the Buick, and a home theater system, AWESOME deals to be had:cheers:
I was thinking about building it up myself and my local bike shop is super lame, they have a couple bikes that are way overpriced.
Is that true about buying SC online...
I have looked at a lot of different bikes now and I think the Nomad is probably going to be the best choice for myself. If anyone knows where to get the best deal on one let me know, online or mom and pop? Or if you know someone who is selling one send them my way? I need a large frame. Thanks
Oh that's no good. I was looking at some other bikes like the SC Nomad, Yeti 575, Specialized SX and Enduro, Intense 5.5 and 6.6, and think one of those may be a better bet. Have any of you had a major problem with any of those, besides a decrease in wallet thickness?
I called a bike shop asking about a Xam 1.0 and the shop owner told me he had this for $1500:
2007 Dakar Xam 2.0 frame
Fork:, 1st time he said it was like an 888(now he just told me Marz built it for him, he's good friends with them, it's a single crown, air, 4 to 6 inch, with lockout, and...
Doug sent me an email with the same price and a release date for the Marque(not sure about the others) of Feb 2008. I know you were asking the other poster, but that's where I got my info.
I hope it's sooner, the bikes look super strong and very well designed. If any of you guys see the...
Thanks Thrillseeka! I sure hope they come out sooner than later:) The bikes look very well thought out, I can't wait to see one when they start selling.
Like you I would love to find out a price range for the Marque or Konig. Especially since I am looking for a bike right now and would hate to buy a bike then find out that I could have got a Corsair if I had waited 2 to 4 weeks. Hopefully someone will have an answer for us soon, or Doug may...

What do you guys think the prices will be like? I was looking at the Konig and the Marque, and saw the post that Doug posted about the prices being in line with the top 25% of high end bikes.
thanks for the insight, I was wondering what you guys/girls think about this, just got off the phone with a Jamis Dealer and he told me that Yeti is a horrible company and that they go in and out of business all the time, I always thought Yeti was big, is this guy nuts? I know he is trying to...
