If you are putting it on your Faith..tell me how it works out for you. I just ordered the V-one 1.5" rise and I had a hard time deciding if the .75" would have been a better choice.
I just got back from my LBS and the owner was telling me about some custom made Ti coils for Fox DHX 5.0. He said they were only available to sponsored riders for the World cup and were not RCS coils.
Anyone know about this?
Im not having much luck finding the actual weight of a Fox 450x2.8 listed anywhere. Anyone know how many grams will be shaved off by swapping it out for a RCS Ti coil of the same size?
Thanx
Right now I have EX 729`s laced to some formula hubs with a Scram PG-990 Cassette. The rims have lasted two seasons but are badly beat up and will probably break after another season of DH/FR. So I ordered a new set of rims. EX 721`s (CD Ano version) laced to Hadley hubs with DT Swiss Champion...
I ran into this little snag while ordering a new rear wheel for my Giant Faith. I have some mashed up 729`s on my bike now and I need to replace the rear quickly and perhaps the front by next season. I wanted to get a new black 721`s but my LBS said that they only got the old style CD Ano 721's...
Yo,
I got some ODI Rogues on both my bikes. Recently I have been noticing the grip are starting to slip a bit. I tried removing and retightening them but the are still a bit loose.
Anyone got any tips on how to fix em?
It looks like I`m gonna retire my Hayes Mags and now looking at these 2 systems. After everything I read, It seems its all up to personal preference. Which of these 2 do you prefer ?
This may be a bit of a thread hijack. (sorry)
I too have Mags. They work well but can feel kinda mushy at times so I am looking at the Codes or Saints.
The Codes are looking great so far with no issues in their first year. 08 Codes are gonna be lighter which is a big plus. But I hear more...
Thanx Joel.
Im really torn between the Reign X1 and Trance 1. I want something that can take abuse (Reign) but will be good for commuting and climbing (Trance). I figure if I go big I wont have any problems but some say that the Reign X1 is too bulky for everyday use. My current hardtail is...
I ride pretty hard and I like to do drops. I am looking at the Reign X1 and the Trance 1 both '07 models. I want to use it only a daily basis travelling through the city and on the weekends do some XC and drops not bigger than 3 feet. I like the Trance for its climbing abilities ( its really...
Hey Deelux...in one post you said.....
I am 5'7" and I was wondering how small does the cockpit feel to you on your 16"? Would you reccomend a 15" for a guy my size?
Thanx
Im gonna buy a 2nd bike for commuting, mild FR and XC.
My LBS is has a MKIII Team `06 rebuild with a 06 Marz ALL Mountain II fork. The bike is a 15" and I`m 5'9" (170 cm) and 165 lbs. (75 kg) so it feels kinda small.
Or I can order a '07 Reign (cheapest one) for the same price (roughly...
I meant I was looking at the 721`s now. I am just concerned on how strong they are compared to the 729`s.
Since the 721`s are lighter they have less rotational mass thus making the bike feel faster right? And if the contact patch is narrower how does it compare to the feel of the 729`s?
I...
Yep...I agree 729`s are decent rims. I was hoping to find something BOTH lighter AND Stronger. I will settle for just stronger though.
Now, I am leaning towards 723`s laced to Hadley`s. Now just gotta decide on Codes or Saints....
I banged up my rims a bit in the summer and am now shopping around for new rims. I am going to lace them to a Hadleys hub (both front and rear) so I want a rim that can last. I do DH/ FR but am sitting on the fence about UST. I have Mavics 729`s now and my bike shop said 823`s are stronger. I...
I have Hayes Mags on my Faith now but I am looking to upgrade. I do DH/FR on a Giant Faith and weigh 165kg. I don`t need the strongest but I want the most dependable and maitenence free set I can find. Which do you guys reccomend?
