While coming back through Denver from getting Thai takeout I tailed a truck pulling a double axle Airstream. Unsure of length but the two axles must narrow it down? It was moving off the line nice and briskly—crew cab F-150. Didn’t get close enough but I bet an EcoBoost 3.5.

Even the EcoBoost 2.7 should handle a trailer that size. Those EBs put out a ton of power. The rental F-150 I had with the 2.7 was an absolute blast to drive.

78 HJ 45 diesel from aussieland....

cool 74 is when the wiper motor went from the top of the windshield to the bottom. I had a 72 FJ40 as the first vehicle I ever bought. Installed a roll bar, wrap around poly bucket seats with 5 point harness, Warn 8000 winch and KC Offroad lamps. took that vehicle to hell and back multiple times. best off road vehicle ever made

Saw a nice looking CO-plated rig on I-70 while headed out west yesterday.

New? or at least recent cabover 22'ish truck. Didn't catch if it was a Mitsubishi or Isuzu. Rounded corners, fiberglass RV body on the back.

Looked sane and slick (but is still at least 200k, I bet)...

So I just got notice that my number came up for my heater controller.

So I will order my cheap heater and hope to get it all in, or at least mocked up . Not sure if I can tap into the fuel line, or if I need to run a hose into my tank. I still need to drop the tank to install the new guage float.

In the bathroom, fighting a battle
I've always wanted to restore an Airstream, but on second thought, no.

This guy's a pretty talented furniture maker, so I think his interior is going to be bad ass, but from the looks of it he's still a ways away from actually working on the interior. Only way I could justify a project like this is if I were making those Youtuber dollars off it.

Nice looking build, but might be heavy for that platform.
More on Uro-Camper

I can't find a listed weight for the Mammut as on that single cab Hilux.

This Xplora II is a decent benchmark, though. 1950 lbs dry. The single cab 4x4 Hilux looks to have a payload of 1205 kg, or 2657 freedom weight-units:

So that's not a whole lot of headroom at all for 2 occupants, fluids, and the potential limitation of the rear axle limit itself.
