if thats a hole to mount a torque arm for the brake, then that 1 bolt would get yanked right the f out of there. its a super small hole  ....plus why not put it in the back of the bottom bracket shell, instead of the front. its a easier routing to the back of the shell. dudecheck out two posts above your dude.
you looked at the wrong post. dudeif thats a hole to mount a torque arm for the brake, then that 1 bolt would get yanked right the f out of there. its a super small hole  ....plus why not put it in the back of the bottom bracket shell, instead of the front. its a easier routing to the back of the shell. dude
Just there b/c the part was designed to able to be extruded and the factory threaded it like on the drive side. No floater necessary.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAANice!! Were those graphics done by Top Image?
yeah. a bb mount bashguard for doing trials. a very versatile bike, this. the delta suspension is optimized for doing pedal hops & such. expect an ot pi signature model soon.can also be a mount for some bashguard?
thanks for your comment chiefdude, what a terrible placement for a floating brake mount. what were they thinking?
Calibrate your sarcasm meter, dude.thanks for your comment chief
I hear the new giant will have integrated truck nutz.Think i could use that hole to mount a set of Truck Nutz?
I'd be happier if they integrated Tegan and Sara.I hear the new giant will have integrated truck nutz.
if you look close you can see the offset shock mount. it sits left-of-center to help balance out the weight added to the drive side of the bike. kinda' cool.QUOTE]
At the rick of commiting E suicide...an i say this with my tounge VERY firmly planted in my cheek
Didnt giant do this with the Glory?????an its been out for donks(whos coppyiny who now???):biggrin:oster_oops:
Seriously tho..thats a hawt looking bike an goes right to the top of my hawt list
Maybe this has been covered already....The holes on the BB are not for a floating brake, there will be no floating brake on the bike. The BB is extruded and the hole is part of the extrusion..
Nope, it doesn't, it was planned as a DELTA bike from it's first inception. The DELTA system is owned by Evil, so that's the technology they are incorporating into the models.Maybe this has been covered already....
But does this bike have the floating axle/split pivot thing.....if not, then why not.......?
maybe cause bikes were fine without it for years....you are talking about ABP right? But does this bike have the floating axle/split pivot thing.....if not, then why not.......?
are you and trek still hung up in court over the abp/split pivot axle?Nope, it doesn't, it was planned as a DELTA bike from it's first inception. The DELTA system is owned by Evil, so that's the technology they are incorporating into the models.
Yes APB....sounds like a good idea on the internet here. Not sure how much effect it would have out on the trail....was just curious if he was using it. Doesn't seem like he got much use out of that idea to this point...maybe Trek has something to do with that, i don't know.maybe cause bikes were fine without it for years....you are talking about ABP right?
Ha, I wore mine yesterday.bring this back please....
thanks
Humm... i could not care less for the linkage, the thing is fascinating - makes me wonder why Commencal went for the flat top tubeHey neat, some decent pics of the linkage.

No, that's actually scuff marks from a wacky sized allen key used on the protos. Already changed for the production bits.Looks super clean. Curious what the main pivot is like... obviously super wide (and scuffed from use), but wondering what the assembly is.
Steve loves this very large allen key. He tells the story of industrial supply tool places to everyone who asks about the bike. No, that's actually scuff marks from a wacky sized allen key used on the protos. Already changed for the production bits.

What is that, like 12mm?Steve loves this very large allen key. He tells the story of industrial supply tool places to everyone who asks about the bike.
Bingo! Changed for production though. Off the top of my head, it's an 8mm moving forward. What is that, like 12mm?
but what about the stooooooorrrry???? I love story time from the bike industry!Bingo! Changed for production though. Off the top of my head, it's an 8mm moving forward.

Yea well you run an e-magazine, here's a good opportunity for an interview. It's only a story when Steve tells it. Otherwise, it's just a hard to find 12mm allen key.
