Anybody have part numbers for the pivot bearings on the Megatrail? I found the main pivot and rocker link pivot ones in the owners manual, but unless I just can't read (very possible), the dropout pivot and upper rocker link pivot ones aren't listed.

You might feel a little prick.

Main Pivot: 7903
Rocker Pivot: 7901
Seatstay pivot near rear axle: 6901 SM Max (pka 38801; the SM Max part is critical, as it is different than a regular 6901)
Seatstay pivot at top of rocker: 698

The 7000 series bearings are angular contact and must be installed with the black seals facing outwards.

The 6901 SM Max is also angular contact, but dual row and installation direction is not critical.

Thanks. Have you guys considered selling a kit with all of them? The 6901 SM Max in particular is kind of a PITA to find online. I haven't yet found anywhere that has all 4 types in stock, and shipping costs get pretty brutal when you're buying from several different sellers.

Yep, we have those kits, just give us a call. Although, we should add them to the website, which is probably what you meant.

Try finding a wheelset with 150 hub and 29" hoop. Like trying to find a leprechaun. Let me know if anyone sees one for sale.
A lot of the Banshee guys on MTBR are running those on their phantoms and primes which allow 135/142/150 depending on dropout choice. You may poke around over there as I'd bet you could secure a dentist condition wheel from one of them...

Full details:
Large GG megatrail
2015 Fox 36 RC2 currently 150mm, need to move to 160mm
CCDBCS
i9 enduro 27.5 wheels w/ DHR2 front/rear
XT brakes, pedals, 11 speed drivetrain with XX1 cassette
Next SL crankers with pedal dragging 175mm arms
Reverb, hopefully a RF stealth dropper someday
Bromag BZA bars and 35mm stem

Coming off a large 2013 spitfire with 50mm stem, this fits me better (I'm 6'2" with short arms but long torso; spitty felt a little small but not bad). I can tell it's got a longer wheelbase and the 27.5 wheels are about like everyone says--roll over is a shade better and cornering takes a bit more deliberate lean in. Overall no big deal. After a quick shake down I couldn't be happier.

Looks pretty sweet. Welcome to the family 8-)

Yeah, in gravity mode, those 175 cranks might smack some things. Usually on climbs.

@SuboptimusPrime - that looks great dude. Will be interested in a comparison to the Spitfire after you get some time aboard this new forest path cruiser!!
Thanks Corey! I'll definitely post something up and will keep you in the loop. Honestly, it would have been hard to move on from the spitty if it wasn't going to stay local. That bike has been along for some really fun times.

Any of you guys have a DB Inline on the Megatrail? I'm getting a 26" frame and have a Inline already. Just checking to see if it's a good fit. I'm a Clyde too if that makes any difference.

I'm finally retiring my 09 Morewood Shova.

How much do you weigh? The Inline is not recommended for folks over 200lbs or so.

Don't have one but did ride an MT with one for a while.

I liked a monarch better.

But since you own the shock, just try it. Then panic if you don't like it.

Also: HAHA, mtg has to put together the 26 jig again!
Nope, we get to pass that all the way down the line to Claude.

Yeah the db inline didn't work for me and I'm about your size, GG was nice enough to swap it for the db air cs plus their normal upgrade fee from inline to air.
Good to know. Im talking to Cane Creek now and thats pretty much what they said. I'll be on the hunt for a DBA.
