It's a new model, Megatrail is staying in the lineup.
I saw the comments on facebook, for the love of god please don't make a 29er

HAB and I were already discussing. If it's in the 130-140mm range with 26"/650 convertible, I'll probably be selling my spitfire.

Definitely better to enter the totally abandoned 140mm 650b market than to make a competitive 29er. Look what it did to Evil, they used to sell their bikes direct, now they have distribution through Backcountry. Plus they entered another two models on the market since the remarkable lack of success the Following has given them. Much better to replicate the no longer produced uprising than the wreckoning or following.

Evils on back country? LOL. I blame their ridiculous seat post angles.

You didn't say anything about it being 26". I don't think it'll be convertible. The Megatrail isn't, it's just two different versions of the same frame. Plus even I admit that nobody wants a mid travel 26" bike anymore.

My money is on a 130/140mm bike with 650b/29er versions.

We'll have the full details at the Mega Cookout on July 15th. But, if you look at our lineup, the Trail Pistol is filling the gap between the Pedälhead and Megatrail.

I've said too much....

You mean your new model fills the obvious gap in your lineup? I'm shocked!

:D

Something I've never said, ever, when looking at a hardtail 29er and a 27.5, 6" trail bike (or just what I've never said, even unprompted)?

"Boy a 29er of any kind would sure would be sweet for mountain biking" :D

What did you do, leave those two in the shop over the weekend with some ecstacy and Barry White CDs?

A Man's Hardtail: Just built it up this weekend. It'll get a dropper eventually, just waiting for the super long stroke ones to come out in the fall. It's got the XL cockpit length but L seattube length. So far it is just about perfect.

Yep. San Ysidro is another trail that takes prior knowledge and cojones to go fast.
Oh yeah, can't expect a first run on that to be anything more than exploratory. Rocky goodness at the bottom though, huh?

It's a Medium.

I'm going back with the elastomer based shox setup.
Huh, the seat tube looked longer than mine. I guess your extra low profile shock through me off.

You must have the only Megatrail in existence with a Brooks saddle.

The custom shock is drilled .375" short of 7.875. Maybe that's throwing you off:)

The saddle is a a Selle Anatomica X. Its the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden. Don't hate on my rivets!

Ive actually not even sat on it yet because I'm scared I would fold my "shox" up....

We have a local customer in Denver that has a Brooks saddle on his Pedälhead. It's very classy :phone:

Looks like it climbs well with that shock.

Could use some graphics, perhaps a contest is in order?
