Pats, on paper, have the easiest schedule in the league... WTF?

Same thing as last year. It helps that the other 3 teams in their division are horrible. It should be another easy year for them to lose the Superbowl.

I'm thinking Buffalo makes a run for a wild card spot, probably beats NE in Buffalo.

Which team should move to LA? (I heard they're building a stadium and are pushing to get a team)

Should the NFL expand by two teams?

ESPN radio is talking about it now and has a poll with Radiers, Bills, Jags, Saints, and Vikes.

I say raiders. A caller suggested the 49ers.

If the NFL added two teams, who'd get the other one? A Canadian team?

Expansion would dilute the talent pool further and ruin any concept of parity. It could really ruin a good thing.

yeah, so which team should move?

Also, why does LA want a team so bad when they couldn't keep the last one they had?

What about all the XFL players that are now pumping gas? If the NFL created 2 new teams, they could pretend to play again.

Does Canadian teams still have to piss test for 'roids? If so, the XFL guys are sh!t out of luck, then.

The draft is coming up this weekend with one of the weakest groups of Top 10 options in a long time. Weak enough that paying that kind of money is (hopefully) going to change rookie salaries.

Why not incentive ladden contracts?

According to ESPN radio, the Dolphins have already signed Jake Long, OL to a contract.

This puts the St. Louis Rams on the clock.

MN traded 3 draft picks to KC for their outstanding DE, Jared Allen. If Allen can stay out of off-field trouble, this really puts them in a position to make the playoffs.

In other 'trade' news, WA offered two first round picks to Cincy for Chad... Cincy turned it down. WTF are they thinking?!

They are thinking they don't want to pay the $8.5M cap penalty for trading him...
It's paid regardless. The issue is, if they wait until after June 1st, they can divide it up over two years instead of taking the whole hit this year.

They should just redo his deal and keep him, figure out how to make him happy he is too good to let go... On paper the Bengals should be good...
Bangles Mgt argument is that they want to discourage other players from trying this garbage in the future. I understand that, but trading him has less of a impact in this regard then outright giving in.

i wonder where alexander is headed? I hope chicago but doubt it will happen
I hope Denver! :D

If his hand and foot are too damaged to play, so be it, but what if...?!

Your Bears need to draft a RB -- DMac, Mendenhall, someone -- instead of taking a chance on probable damaged goods.

As reported on ESPN radio just now, the NFL has officially said that the Rams cannot do what the Dolphins just did with Long, but they will review this for next year's draft.

Which means that they could come to terms with a player, draft him, and then that player holds out for more.

ESPN is reporting that Tennessee has agreed to trade Pacman Jones to Dallas for a 4th round pick in this week's draft, and could include another pick if Jones reaches certain milestones. If he does not get reinstated, the Titans will send a pick back to Dallas in the 09 draft.

DMac won't make it past the Jets. But, the Bears should get either Mendenhall or Felix Jones.

The Dallas Cowboys aren't waiting until Saturday to start wheeling and dealing. Dallas has traded linebacker Akin Ayodele and tight end Anthony Fasano to the Miami Dolphins for a fourth-round pick in the draft.
i'm SHOCKED that Dallas would deal with Miami/Parcells.

and two players that parcells drafted for ONE pick and 4th round at that.

I'm not surprised that Oakland took the 'best' player in the draft, who'll likely make an immediate impact and help the team for years, but they should've drafted based on need.

With DMac, they have a crowded RB position. I guess they'll trade one or more of them?

I'm so pissed that Denver took a WR in the 2nd round. We have bigger needs!

But the left tackle a #12 is going to be a huge help to both the run and pass game.

WTF was Pitt thinking wasting a 1st round pick on a RB when they don't need one? Are they saying that Parker is questionable?

Connor to Carolina was a good pick. He's a very heady player and fun to watch. Always near the ball, rarely out of position covering sideline to sideline very well. Have enjoyed watching him play the last few years.

He probably was the best available player but now we have a ton of linebackers and I'm not sure where he fits in except as a back up to John Beason in the middle. But if he is as good as they say maybe he'll compete. I would have rather them taken a DT which is where we are thin right now.

Godfrey was a smarter pick because eventhough he played CB at Iowa he projects into the NFL as a free safety which we actually needed.
