I cracked the fermenter last evening to take a gravity reading (measures progress of fermentation) and had a taste. I think it's safe to say that this is coming north with me.

I plan on bringing up a growler or two from Franconia Notch or maybe Trout River. :thumb:

There should be room at the lodge & people are welcome to camp out at the lodge too.
Excellent! Looks like there's a decent chance I'll make it again this year (but who knows....) Last year I slept in my car one night and on the ground with only a sleeping bag and a towel the next. The back yard of a lodge in a tent sounds like luxury accomodations to me!

Pretty much a noob here at ridemonkey but I've been riding with Berkshire_Rider for a while now. I'm interested in coming up but need to get the okay to abandon my wife for another weekend while I go get drunk and stoopid in the woods with a bunch of bikers. Is there still room in the lodge?

Hi Monkeys,

Isa and me are really psyched about the upcoming primatefest! We confirm that we are going to be there, camping just outside the lodge. Jozz is trying to make it too!

A big :thumb: for BikeGeek and his monkeyfest brew , that is just awesome. what a coincidence , Echo just gave us two ridemonkey beer glass! the fit will be perfect!

See you in July!

The Kingdom Trails system is basically smooth, flowy XC with a few rooty sections here and there. Fairly fast and fun, with multiple loops available. Moose Alley has a few more rocks, and rumor has it there's a shuttle accessible freeride trail available on Burke Mountain.

Cool. Skill level? Cardio level?

I got reasonable skill, no cardio. Done some DHing, not a lot, but could handle Whistler trails. Kept up okay with MMike and Acadian, more or less... Could maybe borrow MMikes Heckler... heh heh...

You'll be fine as long as you can drink some beers-that's the hardest part of the whole weekend so you should begin training now ;)
This'll be my first time up, both to KT and Monkeyfest, I've heard the schedule is something like:

Fri:
Arrive, drink, drunken night ride, drink more, sleep

Sat:
Breakfast, ride, drink, drunken antics, sleep

Sun:
Breakfast, ride, go home

Close enough to the truth?

If I decide to go last minute is there an area where I could just park my car and sleep in it? My plans this summer are too uncertain to make any kind of reservations.

What's the word on camping in the yard behind the house? Seems like a few people won't know if they can make it until the last minute. It might help knowing there's a place for them to crash.

That's fine as I understand it. When we rent the house, we get the property that goes with it. People are welcome to pitch tents outside if they like. :)

Muahaha perfect. If I go I have a gigantic tent monkeys can sleep in, it 'fits' like 6 people probably. But it probably fits 3 or 4 people comfortably. What is their policy on 15ft bonfires and outdoor kegs?

Outdoor kegs are always welcome! (Pending McGRP01's beer approval) :D
