Dumb question but is it safe to assume all derailleurs have a clutch these days?
No.
Shimano still do treking and double chainset compatible mtb mechs with no clutch. But they're not rated to work with 50t cassettes and are listed as such so it'd be pretty difficult to buy one in error. IME plenty people with doubles still seem to get it wrong and buy clutch mechs as replacements.

<edit> The XTR double compatible mech has a clutch of sorts (lighter resistance)
The one you've linked to has a proper clutch

WAO has 20% off Convergence wheels.
HMMMMMMM

Just sent email to them asking about the ratchet in their 350's....

Also anyone have experience with wheelsets purchased through and their warranty? If I damage a rim and it gets warrantied, do they rebuild it for me?

They give you 2 options: send the broken wheel back and they'll relace it to a new rim (you pay shipping both ways), or they'll send you a new rim for shipping 1 way and you sort out getting it relaced. Their turn around for second option is super fast, I had new rims to me in 1 week from initial contact both times.

I believe all new 350's come with 36T if that helps.

Do you use them?
I feel like it would be great as a rear rim on my hardtail, but as a fattie who breaks things I don't want to have to carry a bike out of the bush because I made yet another questionable wheel based decision.
I have a Union on the front.

I couldn't believe that OneUp do free international shipping for orders over 99USD.
Doesn't help you, but I hadn't seen any free shipping offers like that for years.

Last order from Germany attracted an extra 15Euro charge on top of the initial postage fee.
Annoyingly they sent a German magazine that weighed half as much as the order.

I discovered Primeau Vélo opened a bricks and mortar store in my town. haven't been yet. but is that supposed to be a good deal for an XT derailleur?! belongs in the "what's wrong with the industry" thread... :disgust1::butcher:

The XT derailleurs are usually around $170-180ish.

Another one (sort of?) bites the dust.

Remember when The Pros Closet was just an ebay account for some racer bros and industry homies to sell their free stuff every year?
Don't really know what happened to them, I heard investors and expansion....

Looks like it's pretty picked clean already.

Nice bike, Simplon made it into the news over here through filing for petition in bankruptcy though.:twitch:
That sucks.

Oddly I looked up Pole after looking at the Simplon, Pole is still trading.
Not sure who gave them money.

My Specialized 2FO flats (synthetic uppers) are finally here! Hand-carried from somewhere in Washington State. Thank you to whoever posted many months ago that they were on sale for $50.

Friend who brought them handed them over and just said "belated happy birthday!" so it turns out they're free. Wore them this morning on a short ride around town and down a short flight of stairs. Sticky rubber!

Since they're still on sale on the Spez website I'm thinking of getting another pair. My sis-in-law's kid is attending school in the US so can bring them when she's on vacation. There's the regular 2FO flats with suede and leather uppers and the DH version. The latter looks nice and sturdy but would probably be overkill for trail riding and the tropical heat (although I don't mind that too much). Anyone have experience with both?

I have both.
@Bike078
I had both. The DH are very stiff, almost inconfortable if you ask me. I got the Roost now and use them for both trail and bikepark. I sold my DH pair.
Same. I found the DH version too stiff. To the point where I don’t wear them. I have the Syn and canvas. I like the syn version a little better. Sheds water better. Seems a little more comfortable to me as well.
