Craig Stecyk doesn't strike me as the golfing type.
I have no idea who that is. Lance Mountain drew that skull on my skateboard at Capitola in '85. It's known as the vato skull for some reason.
Craig Stecyk is the guy who originally drew it. He did all the old art for Zephyr Surf Shop , early Dogtown Skates, and then Powell graphics (He did the Vato Rat, as well as that LM skull.) wrote those original Dogtown Chronicle articles for Skateboarder magazine back in the 70s that kicked off the whole Z Boys thing.
I had no idea. I know Lance had it on a board a while back, but I first saw it on mine. I figured it came from somewhere. I needed a logo and it was either that or the Rat Bones logo.
