My first ever bottle of Bulleit Rye. I think I'm in love.
That stuff is as good as $25/bottle whiskey gets.

My current whisk(e)y selection:

-Bulleit Rye
-Willett Rye
-Adbeg Corryvreckan
-Woodinville Summer Harvest
-Oola Bourbon
-Big Bottom Port Cask Bourbon

Old Fashioned(s) with Knob Creek and a little maple syrup instead of simple syrup.

I like the drink, but I won't be spending the extra for the Knob Creek again. Bulleit all the way for this babysitting fort-guarder.

Had a Denali Twister Creek IPA a few hours ago. I was surprised, it was damn good for an IPA. I don't always like IPAs, but I occasionally get the craving (usually go for belgian trappist/tripels). Nice, balanced, but with great hopps/citrus flavors. It's great when you open the can and it seems like it's a can full of fresh stuff...

^ I've been harassing the local beer places over when they're going to receive their shipments. Nobody seems to know. "We think this week, but maybe not. Might be next week. I dunno."

can result in beer that's too cold, which in turn diminishes your taste buds ability to detect the full flavor profile
If I continued drinking while sitting in my freezer, sure.

Besides, Lyme Disease claimed about 50% of my taste receptors, so it's a moot point for me anyway ;)

That beer is pretty good though. Cafe Racer XV is even better if you can find it.
I like their stout quite a bit as well. Basically an imperial stout, quite good and pretty inexpensive around here for what it is.

Anyway, now drinking Karl Strauss Wreck Alley Imperial Stout. Not a huge fan. Not bad, but not great for the style or price.

Damn, I'm coming over to your house tonight! Pumpkin and Coffee Porters, my two most favorite beers!!

BadDNA and I are enjoying a Dunkel from our local brewery, Kretschmann Brewing Co. 6 miles down the road! It's become our Friday night tradition to go down and get a couple growlers of whatever he's serving up that night.

I've had the good juju, but Cigar city I've never been lucky enough to try..... When I was a beer importer I did try talking to them but they basically wouldn't even reply to email or phone calls.

Always surprised me the difference between the European craft brewers and the American, with the euros I was always guarantied a reply even if it was a polite "sod off", the American brewers i'd get a reply maybe 2% of the time at best.
