Yeah, sounds like the Coast Guard plane wasn't where it was supposed to be.
On the news they just said that the coast guard plane was landing and the airbus was taxiing
The video (maybe 20 posts down at the link I posted) shows the Airbus still at a high rate of speed after landing, and the coast guard plane just sitting there until the Airbus went right through it. then instant big flames.
The airbus hit something while rolling out, it's on video.

If that was in the US a lot of people would have died getting stuck behind fatties and people grabbing their luggage.

I always leave my belt on, but that's generally to avoid turbulence issues, not an unplanned freefall from 16,000ft. I think I'll try to keep avoiding 737 Max.

Boeing will need to charge Alaska more for that plane now as they'd not paid for that rear exit option.
