Do you carry a spare tube? Haven't attempted to carry one myself, because they are freaking huge (and we don't have rox like those).
Frame bag on the fatty means I have room for tube, decent pump and space for all the layers you fuck around with through a winter ride.

I'm Darwing awards potential when I ride le fatbike. No tubes or pump. One day I will hike 10 miles in clumsy boots.

I have done some hiking out carrying or pushing all sorts of bicycles. I did some riding on the Intense this year with no pack/pump/spares/water, whatever the burden one carries on one's back, and got away with it happily. I don't think I'd do that in the southwestern deserts, but that's a different game.

Exactement! I do that all the time on my local trails cause I know I can get out quick or call someone to pick me up if I'm too far in. On trips, I always have my bag. I do prefer to ride with just a bottle though.

My buddy and I went out for a quick trail maintenance/sanitazation ride to test out our new toy. I mostly supervised, and made him pull the trailer.

What's model/make of the drill?
Pretty sure it's Milwaukee 2718, 18V 1-3/4" rotary hammer drill. Local IMBA chapter bought it for us a while ago, a couple of proposed reroutes go through fields of Igneous rocks - we try to minimize disturbing soil (or lack thereof) by reshaping/chipping larger rocks rather than digging them out.

We were pretty impressed by it. My hands feel normal today - they would have been numb for a couple days with sledge& chisel method.

Last ride on Saturday. Last two days though I've been doing the trailwork thing.

Just a short hour today. Blocked off a braid, found a new-to-me trail loop. (stupid short like maybe a quarter mile total looks to be built just to ride this one little chute. which was fun. onsited it once. Goes either direction, but you have to hike a bike either way, so it's not really worth it to do it more than that.)

Discovered things are still a bit goopy and soft for primetime riding just yet.

First ride on new pedals (E13 plastics). Plenty grippy and the shape felt good under my feet.

No pic of the ride but I have a couple of morning crapper viewing materials, in case any monkey is bored enough to watch my sloppy riding. I filmed and collected random footage to make some promo videos for my local trails and LBS.

Climbing vid is 4 minutes, downhill one is 7 minutes. In addition to clips of some difficult maneuvers that I miraculously pulled off after dozens of attempts, I included various fails/derps which I may not use for the promo videos.

Someone build a new jump into the steep chute. Considering the exposure and knowing how slick the roots are when wet I can see why they closed it for now. Will be fun in the dry me thinks.

Nice ride with one of the brothers-in-law yesterday. Today is back to 40-ish F temps and sloppy post-rain conditions. Freezing up tomorrow and Saturday though!
