That is one stout bike for Florida! Hurricane proof I see. What's driving the upgrade-itis?
Mud Season/Vermont Summer/Leaf Blower Season makes one mean, Hurricane proof bike... is what tham Hillz speak... I'd taken the rigid Karate Monkey up to Alafia a couple days, but that's more for long distance single track, like from Stowe Village to Trapp's XC Ski Cabin.
As much a Battle Axe this Dave Weagle special is, it was made in 2005, a 2006 6POINT8. Still have my offer from Frank the Welder to adapt this frame to 27.5" wheelsize. It would definitely alter suspension leverage though which would be that one thing FTW would be unable to carryover to match a great frame build. Not that'd he'd boofoo things just to do it, but this bike's a brute. It's been given the 2.75" shock stroke, making it 7" Wheeltravel F&R.

Strapped the gopro to the old man again. This was from last weekend. Fun trails.

Old man following our friend Ash. I'm somewhere in front derping along.

Later on the old man following me. We took a wee "shortcut"...

This was a rare section that wasn't decomposed leaves with the consistency of grease:

Today was not too bad.

Buddy hitting a little rock drop thing. I've rolled that plank, which is near vertical. Pucker factor was high...back wheel doesn't even touch it.

I see no east coast rox. Reminds me of what I used to ride in my 44-11 back in 1995.
It's a mellow piece of trail. In and around Toronto there are actually virtually no rocks. None. Maybe some round river rocks piled here and there, but that's about it.

It not until you go up north to Muskoka or other places further from Toronto that the rox pile on.

This place is cool though. It's a little more tight and technical than the trails nearby and built specifically for bikes. This trail was baked into the ground like concrete, which kind of reminds me of the trails in Ohio. And it's odd, these trails are way better in every sense than the surrounding forests, but there is way less traffic.

this is my favourite trail out here. Climb straight up to the high point, down one side of the ridge, back up, down the other side, back up a bit and back out. It's got old school technical steeps and fast sections and great views. Finished with a swim in the lake (that was brisk!), and possibly the last patio poutine for a while before the second wave lockdowns.
