oh you're down there? yikes! i used to live on the other end of 595 for three years...three years too long! ever hit markham park in plantation? that was my nearest spot. those pumice-y white rocks will scrape the shit outta you!
I'd ridden MP first in 2005. Oleta River in N. Miami, TOE in Sarasota, Alafia River, Carter Road were the others. TOE being a crazy freeride, locals only place until it was featured in I think DIRT in 2006 and then got sadistically-leveled. The same Curse of BMXAction Magazine and their Local Thrashin' piece.

Hats off to the locals and clubs here in Florida. This is some Wizard Of Oz type riding - no mountains, no elevation yet, too tough for a rigid bike somehow.

My back was pretty compliant today so we did a Daddy and Daughter ride. She’s been riding every day around the neighborhood and I was really impressed with how much better she has gotten in such a short time. I love riding with my kid!

wound up riding solo today. It wasn't an epic ride on epic trails, but I managed to string together 5 good downhills.

on one of those downhills, in what was once an off-camber section, I pushed into what I though was a berm. But in reality, it was just a little pile of dirt with two rocks in the middle of it. I managed to knock those two rocks loose and made them roll down the hill, while landing hard on my hip and elbow... no harm no foul, but in the hole where those rocks were I spotted a couple of these:

this is the section leading into the turn. It starts with a 5' gap jump off a root, into a chicane, with a short rise just after the turn....

Ya know, I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that. I’ve been wanting to go back there too. This is at Ballantyne.
oh dang-pretty close to my neck o the woods. haven't been there since they put the wall ride in.

never ridden at purser, but a co-worker lives near it and says it's a fun, chill place.

Purser is cool. It’s pretty fun and definitely chill. There’s a spot called Enchanted Forest” (I think?) that while not hard, is fun just because of the scenery. Plans for next weekend?

@Jm_ .... I found out today he actually exists outside of cyberspace.

I was planning to stick around in the area overnight and ride with him again in Flagstaff tomorrow, but I hurt my shoulder a bit so I came home.

Other than that, it was a good day and I had fun. Nice to meet and ride with you, dude.

Unprompted, my son said, “If I was alone, I would come here every day.” He caught his first two-wheel air today. Think he’s hooked.

Is that your Ford?
Si. Found it in St. George area a few years ago. '94 F-250 4x4 with 460 and 5-sp manual.

I bought it mostly to haul parts and stuff for my 18-wheeler, since a set of brake drums barely fits inside my old little BMW (which I had to do in the past). Not the most eco-friendly obviously, but I love this truck. It has taken me to many interesting places, such as top of this butte.

Tows pretty good too, albeit slow. Moved this trailer for my buddy since his truck with short bed didn't fit underneath.
