Shortly after this, I was going around 18 or 20 and whaddya know, a beautiful wolf ran perpendicular to me, going full tilt. it was magical. He/she was maybe a football field away.



You can't really see how sketchy this section was at speed..

Nice. I saw one above the city here a few years ago in winter when I came around a corner and there was a big-ass wolf-looking dog sitting there in the middle of the trail about 60 feet ahead. Then I thought to myself, "wait, that's not a big-ass wolf-looking dog sitting around in the middle of nowhere with no people, that's a WOLF!". Was cool to see.

Yeah, this one there was no mistaking. The hair stood up on the back of my neck, and something primal and visceral kicked in, and screamed 'WOLF'!
I have been escorted by a small pack out of a drainage for a few miles before (maybe three howling animals), and that was scarier than this.
This was just cool.
