Somewhere around 4K of climbing over about 6 miles or so, this was a mix of stuff, first started by climbing the hard road past the top of the local DH-specific trail in Hatcher Pass, then continued climbing up to the actual pass on the gravel, then up April Bowl trail which was about 2/3rds rideable in the up direction, then rode down everything.

Took a very fit newer riding buddy who is new to the techy kinda' stuff to on e of the hardest slow speed techy spots around me. He aquitted himself well, and liked it, even if there was some walking in a few bits.

He now agrees with me that the Ardent is not an ideal choice for our local riding, particularly when things are a bit slimy. The 2nd pic is reflective of what large portions of this spot have on offer.

The old world
Ugh. Was hoping no one would/but expected someone would.
Sorry, it was that Strava cock thread that primed me for all things genital.

Lac Blanc bike park. Much fun was had in the wooden sections, not so much in the berms pictured. What i like about riding in France is that donwhilling seems to be much more of a popular sport there instead of a strictly white male middle class endeavour. You see far more old bikes on the tracks, rusty cars in the parking lot and women and children riding over there, which is probably why the French produce world class talent on a conveyor belt.

Nice. Kinda cannot tell if the berms are pointed up or down in the picture.

Did my annually summer ride on one of our most tech winter trails in the boreal forest...which is way harder than riding it in the winter, locked my locks to a post at the trailhead, did a bunch more trails, got my locks, rode to the brewery. Tourists have cleared out by now. This does not suck.

So far no one has said anything about the giant can of bear spray attached to my camelback.
