Baby Jesus delivered early today and gifted me with a pretty good ride. A little muddy but not too shabby for late December.
You still ride glove-less when it is so chilly?low 40s and sunny felt good in the sun, chilly in the shade
yeah...unless it’s below 40. i actually put on a pair of normal/non winter gloves i brought today when i got to the top of the climb and i swear it made my hands colder. took em off at the bottom of the first descent and was good again. You still ride glove-less when it is so chilly?
The camp sites in area 6 are the best.

I remember that church. Assuming its the same one..
This reminds me an awful lot of one of the parks in MA I used to ride.Ponds getting frozen.
Nothing a motivated crew of scofflaw delinquents couldn’t clean up...F***ing hell, cool non-official DH spot that I used to ride at when younger looks pretty destroyed. Most trails are blocked and jumps are sketchy because of vandalism by I guess rangers.

That is what we used to do. After I moved away the spot did grow for a while but maybe got too much attention that way. It doesn’t help that it is located really close to town and next to a posh neighborhood.Nothing a motivated crew of scofflaw delinquents couldn’t clean up...
About 150m higher than where I snapped my chain yesterday... then discovered that my oneup edc chain tool sucks.
I find that, in general, chain tools suck.About 150m higher than where I snapped my chain yesterday... then discovered that my oneup edc chain tool sucks.
Funnily enough, I was there yesterday too, and with a brand new, never been used Park chain tool in my pack; brand new because the pin in the old one snapped a couple of months ago when I needed it on a road trip. I agree with @johnbryanpeters at least when it comes to Park chain tools. Why did I buy another one? Because it was cheap.About 150m higher than where I snapped my chain yesterday... then discovered that my oneup edc chain tool sucks.
Not a fan of that chain tool, as in virtually every multi-tool chain-tool is better with more leverage and longer threaded pin-pusher thing. I have one. Not sure what to do with it.Funnily enough, I was there yesterday too, and with a brand new, never been used Park chain tool in my pack; brand new because the pin in the old one snapped a couple of months ago when I needed it on a road trip.
