90% of mine come from stops to let the pup take a swim. Our main trail does have a good few jumps and some bitchin turns some if its really hot and shitty, we "session" stuff because we don't really want to pedal.

Usually my buddy Ty Mer.

Depends where I'm riding as well, and solo or not. This place has lots of little fun session bits, especially on the black trail in the middle. My norm is to do one lap of the whole thing, and double back a bit to hit the middle bits again and play on things that 2nd lap.

Tiny park with about 6 miles of trail if you do one round of hitting it all, which entails some doubling up. 8-12 miles ends up the average ride.

Borrowed the lady friends pogies. Do not like. I think I'll just find warmer gloves.

I'll set my go-pro to take pictures at intervals. Works damn nice.

Told Cygolite their battery got wonky in the cold... They were like fuck you. We'll send you a new one...
Hmmm one of mine has a bad connector (bought a new battery) and the other won't let me use it on full power. They said I had to ship the stuff to California:(

The weather finally reverted to normal (55~65 freedums daytime high), just as I have to go back to work  So yesterday I rode a little bit longer than I had in quite sometime. Still carrying extra holiday weight, it was quite a workout. I slept like a brick last night.

Looking down at the world as it goes by. Mountain biking makes my life somewhat tolerable.

Post-ride drift session in the backyard. Shots of Smirnoff makes me less spastic and I ride slightly better.

I am very jelly of those who can ride in daylight between weekends.

My ride tonight. :twitch:
It's a trade-off for me too. I run an one-man trucking company. No riding for me for the next 1~2 weeks until I come home to take a few days off. Rinse and repeat.

At least you're riding a normal bike...not this phat tire bullshiiiite
I have a fat bike (1st gen On-one Fatty) even though we only get like 0.375" of snow a year. It's my go-to bike when I go exploring the desert looking for old mines and stuff, reminds me of old days riding all over the place when my only mode of transportation was my BMX. So no fat bike hate from me.

I love that bit of trail. I used to sneak around to the right of where your front wheel is. Last weekend I figured screw that, just go straight over to the left of you wheel. Turns out it's much easier that way.
In chickened out and went right. Looks like the bottom the left line will eat your front wheel.

Solo ride... just not worth lawn darting today

Another ride with the new guy. He's still far slower and less skilled, but I don't care. Nice dude, who is fun to ride with, mostly due to his new found enthusiasm for said riding. He's getting better every ride. I've just gotten into the habit of going my own pace until we hit a junction, then wait for him. Repeat. Or zoom ahead and session bits. He's 60, and apparently a crazy good skier, but the bike thing is new to him.

Bonus: dude home-brews up some wicked tasty beer. He made me 5 gallons of a Belgian IPA that is around 5% abv and delicious! It's in his massive kegarator, and I just swing by to fill my growlers every couple days.
