Had to hike back up and redo this rooty section, totally just derped through it the first time. Tight series of S turns around trees going downhill, with these roots at the end. I went into the trees on my phat bike right here back in the winter. :busted:

I opted to not take a photo of the black bear I saw because I didn’t want this dorkus to get mauled.

Sometimes I do think Jesus really is a happy, stoned hippy, which means he made things like butterflies

Not quite as aesthetically pleasing, but I understand if aquatic species were a bit of an afterthought for him

OK, Jeebs, wtf? I sense a dark trend here...

But for reals, seeing a trapdoor spider is a rare treat around here...almost felt like I was in Oz for second (but since the spider wasn't the size of a cat and shooting flaming web strands from its ass, I knew I wasn't in @toodles land)

F-ing smoke from big forest fire was the thing most of our ride. Pretty terrible actually, upper 80s and tons of humidity, lots of smoke, endless flies. We bailed on the bigger more epic ride we were going to do.

Vermont is awesome. Only ever ridden KT, though. I bet it's hot as bawls.
Humidity was getting close to unbearable the last day. Beer fixed that. Vermont is awesome for flow and easy going trails. They are missing the boat IMHO about gnarliness. Perry Hill in Waterbury still got some chunks but it's being leveled out every year. Don't know where your silly bro is, but if you get a chance to come back to Quebec, we now have some glorious tech stuff.
