Anyone have any input on the performance differences between the hope m4 and mono m4 brakes? What's changed with the new lever design?
I found a good deal on some older m4 and wasn't sure if it I'd be better off buying them or savings for some mono m4's.
Also, can the m4's be run with hayes...
Just got a new set of 150mm Outlaw wheels in the mail and I'm having some issues:
I get alot of drag in the front 20mm Hub. When it's mounted to the fork it will only get about 5-6 full revolutions when I spin it by hand. Plus I can actually hear the drag, sounds like metal scrapping on...
i have an Azonic fury helmet and I'd say stay away.. doesn't breathe well at all.... it's got tons of vents but they're all covered up on the inside by a fairly thick material and foam.. bottom line, there isn't much air getting through.. i took a few hours and trimmed out all the materail on...
can't you buy the LG-1 plastic peices and just mount them to your 32-special boomerang? i was kind of planning on doing that with my STS 36tooth. there are a bunch of places online that you can buy the plastic peices for the LG-1.
^^^^ true, but with the maestro design you're meant to have the suspension setup just right for it to perform correctly... going to a shorter stroke shock would probably change how much sag you run and may effect the performance of the suspension design..
it's something to look into.
i can see your point, but only for mediocre hubs.... i would think anyone looking at i9's is going to be a pretty detailed about how their bike is spec'd.. plus it's probably alot cheaper/easier to ship just the hubs as opposed to a built wheelset.
if i were in the market for hubs i would...
how do you know it's a falling rate design? i'm just curious, it seems like some people can just look at a frame and state wether it's a falling, linear or rising rate design.
also, what is the i2i on the shock? i'm interested in getting a sin.. good deals online right now..
just...
if you want to use your hubs you can build them up with Alex Supra D rims.... that's the rim azonic uses in the outlaw wheelset.. azonic uses the 36hole version, but you'll have to match it to your hub
you could consider an ironhorse 6point. similar geometry to the gian reign's but with a better leverage ratio.. my understanding is the reignX comes with a 7.875 x 2.25" shock giving it a leverage ratio of2.977:1.. the 6point comes with an 8.75 x 2.5" shock giving is a leverage ratio of...
i was initially drawn to the reignX.. great looking bike with a great spec but my freind just got a glory0 and has been having major issues getting a new derailuer hanger for it.. apparently giant has no customer service line to call, you have to do everything through bike shop.
does anyone...
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with running a 6point7 setup? I'm looking to build up a new frame and have a 8.75x2.75 dhx5.0 that i could use..
90% of the time I ride trails in the greater boston area (lynn woods, vietnam, etc..) and try to get up for a few DH weekends each year...
