Who the fuck died and made Sarah Palin the Republican, white trash, Svengali? Who gives a fuck who a half term Governor from an aborted presidential run "endorses"?
Forward Progressives said:
While Palin is despised by most liberals – and her “star” has fallen very far from where it once was just a couple of years ago – she’s still fairly influential with evangelicals and tea party Republicans. These are key voters Trump needs in his corner if he wants to win Iowa. Not only that, but Palin has been a rather big fan of Cruz over the last several years. Heck, I’ve referred to her as the “female Ted Cruz” several times. So her choosing to endorse Trump is a fairly big deal in far-right conservative circles. Coming off Trump’s comments about nobody liking Cruz, Palin’s endorsement only seems to give credibility to the billionaire’s statement.

I'm dreaming of a Trump Palin ticket...man, that would be an absolute mindfuck. Those two are made for themselves.

I'm glad the FSM has a sense of humor. It would have been too much of a waste for Palin to slowly fade to obscurity.

I attempted to read the transcript of her speech But I just couldn't make it the whole way through...... my mind feels violated and unclean now. :(

https://twitter.com/Green_Footballs/status/689667956125528064
I remember walking into a Fixed Base Operator in California after just flying in while she was giving her "I give up as governor" speech. I thought t was maybe because I started watching it part-way through that it just didn't make sense, so I sat and watched it through, but it was just like random phrases joined together nonsensically. After watching William Shatner and thinking about it for a while, I decided to use her speech to make poems:

Make your own Palin-Poem:
The instructions are simple, take a few random phrases from her speech, put them together, and you have your own Palin poem!

That big wild good life
It is as it is throughout all
continuing along the road north
to the future
in this last frontier
there is hope
securing it
hellbent on tearing down
perpetuating pessimism
our best days were yesterdays
but as other people have asked
for some...just some
exerting power
and that is why
quit makin things up
much good in store
further down the road
live the optimistic
resist enslavement
be wary
melting in to Washington's
caretaking arms
chart our own course
make us less free
because I love Alaska this much sir
I will be able to fight even harder
so leave his kids alone
the rugged hearty people
the best road trip
soaring through nature's finest show
Denali, the great one
under the midnight sun
then in the winter times, the extremes
it's the frozen road that is competing
ice-fogged frigid beauty
the cold though, doesn't it split the chachacos from the sourdoughs
and then in the summer time
such extremes
just 150° hotter than some months ago
then just some months from now
with firewheat blooming
merciless rivers that are rushing
and carving and reminding us
Mother Nature wins
need to really stick together
stiffen your spine
circusses from Hollywood
using a delicate tiny celebrity starlet
and by the way, we eat, therefore we hunt
I remember talking about and hoping for and dreaming for commercializing
what I promised, we accomplished
nothing could have succeeded without my right hand
there is much good in store further down the road
suck incentive to work hard
chart our own course
it does make us less free
I resisted the stimulus
beg the allowance to be self sufficient
it can't make you happy or healthy or wealthy or wise
it is the wisdom of the people
helping those who help themselves
we would be different
we would roll up our sleeves
we can dillgently sow and reap
is what our first people, and our parents did, it worked
develop god given resources
energy and prosperity
no one loves their clean air
the gatekeeper of the continent
some still are choosing not to hear
it should be so obvious
doggedly guard this state
as a grizzly guards it's cubs
it is impossible to lose your way
wherever the road may take you

Examples:

With firewheat blooming,
I will be able to fight harder than ever before,
It is the wisdom of the people,
Under the midnight sun,
Charting our own course,
Because there is much good in store further down the road.
Mother Nature wins,
While I rememer hoping and dreaming for commercializing.
Continuing along the road North.

That big wild good life
makes us less free
it should be obvious

In this last frontier,
It is impossible to lose your way,
But as other people have asked,
I resisted the stimulus.

Under the Midnight sun,
We can dilligently sow and reap,
Circusses from Hollywood.

It sounds like it might be time for version two....

I used to think so too, but I'm starting to come to the conclusion that we may need to face the reality of a very serious Trump candidacy. I no longer think this is just pre-caucus frothing, flash in the pan, Rick Santorum wins Iowa, stuff. Trump could very well be the Republican nominee. That's pretty fucking frightening if you take a moment to seriously consider it.

the republican party has clearly learned nothing
I disagree with this too. I'm pretty sure that the few potty trained republicans who remain have figured out how screwed they are. I've compared the whole tea-bagger thing to Frankenstein monster before, and I think the GOP establishment knows it too, and they are freaking the fuck out. The best case scenario here is that Cruz gets the nomination, and Trump and his Ego run as a third party candidate.

I think a lot of the traditional republican power brokers are kind of letting him run free at this point because he is at least driving a lot of attention and support to the GOP. But at some point, if this looks real even they are going to start pointing out his bullshit. Like you can't 'force' apple to move production domestically.

Can't argue with that.

I think that might have been true in the beginning, after all, who could possibly take Trump seriously, right? Just like when the tea-bagger movement was in it's infancy, remember how silly that was?

By the time the republicans figured out the tea-bagger movement was going to be more than just some vaguely racist-"populist" movement they could exploit for the 15 minutes it was going to last, it was too late to put the genie back in the bottle. I'm now pretty convinced Trump is the same thing. For the Republicans its all damage control and containment now, there isn't enough energy left over to mount an offense when they are spending all their time and effort playing defense against him.

I forgot that using logical arguments and reason against Trump will not resonate with Republican voters. My bad.

It may not be too late for them to find a puppet that can make disjointed angry hateful jingoistic statements using simpler shorter sentence. Perhaps someone suffering from tourette's syndrome?

I think this hits the nail on the head. Republican base = tea party = Trump supporters. After this the mouth breathing malcontents will move on to something else and that something else will be co-opted by the conservative money machine. How many cycles can this go through before these dipshits catch on? I'm guessing a lot.

Best anagram I've found for a Trump-Palin ticket: turnip lamp.

I bet you a shiny quarter that neither Trump nor Palin knows what that means.

Trump probably recognizes anagram as something he snorted with a hooker in the late '80s. Palin probably knows Anna Graham as one of her neighbors, a Good American.

Apparently Hillary made people wait for a few hours yesterday, then talked for 5 minutes and left. Also, FBI was able to reclaim the "missing" emails from her server and it looks like there IS classified/top secret info in them. Indictment much? (Please!)

On a side note, the CO caucus is March 1 and it's on the calendar already. Feel the Bern!
