whered you get that bike stand?
The new swinger design is from 2007 and this is the non spv version that im running. It works excellent and is allot smoother than the revox with a more deep feel,i got the bike stand from the lbs where i bougth 2 off those.

39.2 pounds as of right now (weighed with pedals) When my CCDB gets here I have a Diverse Ti spring to go on it so it should slip into the 38's. I'm trying to source a mag link, and I might get some tubless DHF's. I predict a 37 point something pound Demo then.

He is running a air fork and all mountain wheel set, that would be about 2 pounds no?
You got it : the 888 sl is a full pound lighter then the WC, and Crossmax SX's are only 1900 g's . So ya I guess my scale is accurate. I supect my Demo will weigh around 40 pounds or just under with my 729/hadleys.

I guess your right. My WC weight is right at 7lbs 3ounces and then my wheelset comes in right at 2100 grams. Just figured I had picked up those couple of pounds in components like the ti spring, saddle, mag link, shorter cranks, x.o components.

Where did you get your Mag link????
My brakes are also lighter then yours (I have Juicy Carbons with goodridge lines on my other bike thats How I know), and my cassette is a good 150 g's lighter too.
Realisticly 40 pounds is awesome for a DH bike that will still take real abuse.

yeah i was gonna swap the saddle out soon.

i cant buy another wheelset now cause i have 2 complete spare wheel sets as it is...a 3rd is just a little much for me now....but i know i could save some weight there.

IH8Rice, what's the frame weight?
you could change brakes for lighter
floating brake thingy weighs probably about 0,5kg... but, getting rid of it would make suspension work worse under braking

i believe when i weighed it, it came in around 9.5lbs..ish
yeah i know i could take off the arm, but since i did pay a bit extra for it, i wanna try it for a bit. there will be some brake jack, but nothing i cant handle. my older Foes didnt have one and i rode fine w/ it.
i didnt think of lighter brakes actually...i am due for new ones.
thanks for the tip:cheers:

edit: hmm i just checked sicklines.com on their weights on brakes...my hayes arent that much heavier than the lighter brakes out there..40-50g's a brake isnt worth it for the money id have to spend

They aren't a ton lighter but the new Deity pedals or Kona wah wah's
yeah 70g difference for the Deity's isnt a whole bunch, same w/ the Kona's 484g weight.
i also just bought a extra pair of Aircorp's on ebay for $50.

i guess i should look into lighter wheels and sell the extra sets i have. im looking for big weight drops, and the few grams for brakes, a few for pedals, a bunch for wheels and some for tires will all add up.
the wheels are the biggest/major part that i could drop i suppose

I know this isn't exactly the right place, but you guys seems to know your stuff so I'd thought I'd ask.
Right now I ride a 08 Transition Double with a 32 Talas, but it's definitely holding me back from dh and fr.
I have the option of getting a race spec'd 08 DHR w/ Boxxer wc, x0, etc..
Or buying just a new frame, a Banshee Wildcard and using 36 Talas RC2.

For mainly somewhat smooth dh, and some races this summer what would you guys recommend. I'd say I do 60%fr and 40%dh.
I only weigh 135lbs and I'm pretty smooth I'd say.
If you have any other suggestion pelase say them.

Thanks!

Id rock the DHR, time tested, the banshee has issues this season and coupled against a DHR it doesnt stad a chance. The DHR is a smokin bike! :thumb:

Have you had ride time on each of these?
The only problem I see is losing some jump-ability and liveliness of teh bike if I make such a big switch to a DHR from my Double.

Yeah you definently will lose jumpability (DHR) compared to a smaller bike but you gain the ability to fly down the mtn and rail. It corners like a machine.
You might want to consider a transitiion or a Intense SS 6" travel slopestyle bike but DH geo and capable for most DH unless its the super Gnar....

Or you can go Canfield Jedi I jump mine and race DH short chainstary so its nimble and fast as well as easy to manual and bunnyhop. AHHH the bunnyhop the staple of a arsenal of tricks!!!!!

Well how much would one be complete haha. I'm getting a super deal on the dhr, same with the Wildcard so that's why there my main two options.
Btw I don't want a transition (br is what you probably meant) and Intense is too $$$.
How much would a Jedi frame run?
