It should work well I just tested negative for Covid single n95 and one pfizer shot. We were within 4 feet of each other in a tranport twice in one day (dialysis) and they had a cough.
Got an email last night about making an appointment for the vaccine for those over 75. Then today, before I could even talk to my parents about it, the site and phone line were closed as they have already run out of doses.

Exactly what my parents are running up against as well.
I have two friends who recently got vaccinated. They both are "health care workers", one is a psychology professor in a teaching hospital and the other is a manager of a pharmacy. Neither see patients or interact with the public.
Vermont doesn't seem to be doing anything visible...
Meaning Vermont hasn't deemed folks over 70 as eligible for vaccination? Or something else?
My dad is in AZ, and they're not anything for seniors according to him. But his permanent address is in Colorado, so he's looking into coming home soon not only for vaccination purposes but also for other doc appointments and such.
They haven't gotten past starting on health care providers.

At 2:30 pm today became cold in the car. Frank shaking chills when unloading skis a bit after 3. Took hot bath and very hot shower.

I am 25 hours post Pfizer shot # 2 I feel perfectly fine even though we were told by EMS that a high percentage of folks were getting walloped by the second shot. currently in my normal temperature range at 97.3*
Sounds like my flu shot a few years back. Next day I got better fast, but I got the shot in the morning and towards the end of the day I was starting to go downhill and spent the night with bad chills.
My 2nd shot was Thursday. Felt fine until about midnight. Then alternating hot/cold/hot/cold. Actual temp. Whole body achy. Lasted a few hours, then was just achy all over most of Friday. Felt fine waking up this (Saturday) morning.

Things have devolved a bit since you were last in the states. There are approximately 70 million people here who are completely detached from reality in all respects other than basic human functions and operate almost solely on emotional stimuli. What you are describing is something that they are incapable of, reason. They loose it when confronted for not taking the pandemic seriously. Every week we see video or read about someone getting beaten up over a mask.

My brother in Candakistan learned his room-mate is positive, he's still negative. If anyone needs it, someone that has to live with someone that is positive for it. Well, that and rich people.
I would highly advice against this. As little as they care about protecting themselves they might be a vector for STDs as well.
Talked to my brother yesterday. It seems that the likelihood of his MIL dying in the hospital from COVID in the next day or so is pretty damn high.
