I think those Cake's are dang cool, but I'll never have a use for one.

Jeffsy's HA is too steep for my use. YT seems to always be a year+ behind with geo updates.

Even the current 66deg?

They're on my current short list of 6 or 7 bikes for my next trail bike.

I personally see no reason for an HA steeper than 65 for those of us who ride in real mountains, with steep rocky descents.

I would prefer 63-64 for what I ride.

YTs are priced well, the aluminum bikes at least are made very well, in my experience. God, I just got done with a dreamy ride on my Capra... love that bike (wish it was slacker).

I wouldn’t say no to a Jeffsy with -2 headset.

That Norco seems to have more sorted geo. YT is behind the times on seat angle too... so take a look at that, given your height.

I bought a -2 headset from Superstar a couple of days ago, they are on sale (just use the code "2020"on the checkout). Had to have it shipped to a friend's house in Portugal, since shipping to Argentina was over 180 euro, and the headset alone with the discount costs around 37 IIRC. It will throw my Rallón's head angle into the ~64ish territory.

Will report how it goes once my friend gets back to Argenland and I install it.

What part of Argentina are you in?

DW has always said he works on motos too... one of his creations? it doesn't look like it has a traditional rear end for a moto either... also something that was rumored to come out of his work... i remember back in the Iron Horse days he said he made a DW-link proto for Yamaha or some other big moto brand...
I also don't understand why you would buy this instead of a Zero FX. The Zero is faster, has more power, has more torque, has longer battery life, is cheaper, has better dealer support, looks better.... is literally better in every single metric...

It looks to be a bell-crank/linkage actuated by two smaller links on the swingarm. That's exactly what a traditional moto rear end is.

I remember seeing that moto in the background of one of the videos from his garage/workshop videos from around 10 years ago. Think he spoke about it briefly too.

Well I really want to ride a 29 this summer and see what all that is about from a gravity perspective. The only thing I didn't like on the evil was the pedaling position. Love the brand, and love the suspension, would buy another in a second...
