Currently in apres- ski mode. Drinking a Smuttynose IPA at the bar after 7 hours of skiing. It was a good day.
Which one? I've seen a bunch around here, but I'm in their neck of the woods...Glad to see some of the mediocre breweries jumping on to the higher-priced special releases. Just in the last couple days I saw this and Red Hook's special release. Leinenkugel's has been doing a similar product as well, although I haven't been willing to cough up the $11/4-pack to try it out. More options for the consumer are ABSOLUTELY a good thing.
btw, how's the beer?
22oz. of win right there! While I was there I did a lil shopping for the holidays, sitting in my fridge waiting for Xmas day is a bottle of Rouge XS Imperial Indian Pale Ale.
Yeah...I can only imagine the Kiwi mark-up for such an item. When I find it up here in the PNW it's right around 12.99-14.99 per 22...22oz. of cha-ching, too!
$45NZD, somewhere around $32 of US monopoly money.Yeah...I can only imagine the Kiwi mark-up for such an item. When I find it up here in the PNW it's right around 12.99-14.99 per 22...
Down in Newport at their brew-pub it was ~20 bucks for a growler (if memory serves...though after that it probably doesn't). Throughout the week I was there I bought 4.
Uh, you know it (was) only Tues, right?Working my way from left to right. TGIF!
Maybe for you regular working stiffs. Not for me.Uh, you know it (was) only Tues, right?
Post-ski beers rule. Especially when the skiing is deep. And the beer is Celebration Ale.cup of decaf right now.
Last night just 2 post skiing yuenglings. planned on going out for beers but was too tired.
have you tried Oso Lupulus Maximus IIPA?Last night - Central Waters Satin Solstice Imperial Stout after ice skating with the wife.
Mmmmmmm, definitely Imperial Stout weather here in WI......
Nope, I've avoided O'so for some reason. Not sure why. Picked up another 6 of Satin Solstice, and had to reach over their 2010 (Dec) BBS to do so... SO tempting.have you tried Oso Lupulus Maximus IIPA?
had one yesterday. it was a tasty brew. it sees a little bit of oak. supposedly there is a hop cone worth of hops in every bottle. For an imperial IPA it was easy drinkin'.
+ rep to you sir!Do you think I got the liquids to solids ratio right?
