It's Invasion Day over here so I knocked out two rides today trying to avoid drunk bogans wearing the flag as a cape.
The only rider I saw on my second ride was a ginger viking looking dude in jorts, I hid from him.

Bike is getting close to four years old and I really wouldn't change the geo much if I went again, probably steepen the HA a touch to get the stack a bit better and make the tired XC cornering a bit safer, maybe 10mm more in the stays too.

Please tell me all your trails aren’t sand!

So we headed down one of the big rivers, then up the Yentna River (also the Iditarod Trail) and stayed overnight at a lodge, then rode back the next day. We had about 6-7 in our group, but there were a few other groups that decided to head out and do something very similar. Ended up being a lodge full of riders overnight.

It was warm today, so I rode some hills. It’s been about a month and it was nice to see my fitness is not completely lost.

Went for a ride yesterday and did one lap with 2 friends and a second lap with another. The first lap was on a very fast flowy / steep trail (0:00-1:06) and the second trail is a brand new trail just built that is incredibly steep and technical. Probably one of the steepest trails in Santa Cruz (that I have found riding here over 15 years). Enjoy!

@Jozz found your snow. It's coming down pretty good here. And it's hovering right around 0c so it's that heavy wet snow.

Climbing was like being on velcro tonight, though running the tires at 3-4 psi sure made it a slugfest.

Finally got here overnight. Maybe 4 inches instead of the predicted 10.

Went ice skating this morning. Was planning on walking, but the little guy said we should ride, so ride we did. Were there in 3 minutes :)

Took out about 3 seconds worth of air out of my tires, right at the start. Not sure what that equaled, but it felt good for these trails that have been stomped down by the foot people.

Sun was extra bright today with the snow. Started with sunglasses, but had to take them off as I couldn't see shit as soon as any shadows rolled around.
