perfect conditions on my favourite trail, just in time before the big rainstorm tonight... >:( chilly (-2°F) and clear for my first 'real' ride back with my buddies since my accident. back feels a little stiff this morning, but overall pretty good. now I just have to get in shape again!

Just absolute crap conditions all this week with no end in sight. Been raining a lot. Raining all today. All singletrack trails are crap and basically impossible. This is a "trail" around a BLM airfield in a park. Too damn warm for me to sleep at night too.

Too warm to sleep at night? How do you manage the summers?

media blackout
Cloudy when I started, then flurries turned to whiteout turned to bluebird. Didn't bail when my pedals and cleats got iced too much to faff with, but did bail when my rear brake froze solid with ice and stopped working. May have had something to do with accidentally breaking through the ice into a 6 inch deep puddle that I couldn't see because of said whiteout. At least I didn't get cold, but I wish I hadn't forgotten the clear lenses to my glasses back in Philly.

In hell. Welcome!
Dirt ride #2 in the books. Was a mix of frozen permafrost, thawing permafrost, ice, melting ice and surface water. Secus feels K.

I went up and down this rock/ice transition only two weeks ago. Open water today.

Only riding I've been doing lately is on 2 planks carving turns or chasing my son and his friends through the trees.

After some really bad weeks of rain and warm temps, we've had a few days of cooler temps where everything has froze. Excellent conditions. A little bit of snow today too. Unfortunately, it's supposed to shoot back up to above 40°F this week and rain, so gotta get it while it's good...

We have those crappy conditions here now. It dumped snow on Thursday, but it's been above freezing for two days now.

I thought with all the new snow it'd be OK today, but nope. All the fresh snow is now that wet slushy kinda stuff. Try and corner with any speed or lean angle and you just continue going straight.

Took a quick video today. Crappy riding to go along with some crappy riding conditions. :D

Hopefully we can poach some high speed nordic ski trails on Wednesday night...

Sounds like living life as one chooses.
Indeed :) What I more meant was I haven’t seen this before and have pictures in my head of kite- boarders being pulled by the wind and lifting off. Obviously different kites, but you get the picture. Is this a thing out west?

Holy hell, the temps jumped down to -18 when we started riding. We all thought it was going to be around -6

The big ass Piston Bully groomer went up this hill, right before we went down. Purrrrfect.
