:stupid:

I'm a warm sleeper and find that I can usually stick to the bag's rating with some light layers + pad. Down blanket is handy for getting a little more out of that, heavier long underwear + hat even more so.

On the flip side, my wife could have a -40* bag, wear expedition weight long underwear, and still be cold in 40* temps.
IDK, might be worth trying just to shut her up. I have a -20 and you seriously can't get into that unless it's somewhere around 0F, otherwise you just sweat your ass off.

Crashed on stage 4 out of 5. Really dusty and I haven't been able to get a replacement DHF, so I was using my forecaster...which is sketch on the dusty loose stuff. Still had a good time and set some good PRs on segments. Should have some action shots forthcoming. Diaz Charger mod seems to work well. G-form pads ineffective, they had slipped down.

Not sure why but I have either been tired as fark or sporting pretty solid headaches for most weekends over the last month or so, was in bed most of yesterday with a headache and fever and felt tippy top today, shit makes no sense.

Two months 'til new frame, I sorta regret my purchase as I hardly ever ride now.

Best damn trail we have. Most of it is either alpine tundra or honest rainforest, not much of that alder bullshit. Just a couple patches of snow. It is possible to ride just fine with two left shoes BTW.

Was a hot one today and I went to ride in the worst of it. Best part was that there was seemingly no one out there until at one point I hear a bunch of unintelligible screaming. Carefully bushwacked off the trail to see what was some kind of revival in an opening, complete with speaking in tongues. Got the fuck out of there less they felt they needed a heathen to sacrifice.

Even though my fitness levels are suspect. I dream of trails like this.
Yeah it's pretty cool as this is ~5km from home, I don't like to put the bike in the car coz I feel guilty for being wasteful when I have trails so close to home, or 500m from where I work.
I daydream of good sleep so I can ride the trails, hahaha!

Candamos's trails look better, I could section that for yonks.

Sent Teh Spousal Unit™ off on a 5-day 4-night mountain bike hut trip this past Saturday. Rode the first 11 miles with her and her partners, plus one of the other gal’s husband.

It’ll be mostly dirt and gravel roads, with some fun Singletrack sections along the way. We started them off with a super fun several thousand foot descent in the Telluride area, didn’t get pics of that but here’s the pedal out after. She doesn’t have much cell service but when they have been able to get a text message out it sounds like things are going well.

Finally got to ride the new bike on my home trails. It was a revelation. Think we are going to get along just fine!

edit: not a recent ride, the photo gives away the date if you hover over it. Someone's going to have to tell me who that was on the far left though :p

Came within inches of getting smoked by some jackass steering into the bike lane tonight. Had to swerve to avoid the mirror..

Good ride, though.
